Its plane inside is mirrored, it does not come into contact with the steel piston, therefore, its wear, in principle, is impossible, since only rubber seals are in contact with it.
Maintenance of the brake system can be a little more complicated. The front wheels rotate, so the brake hoses that fit on the calipers break apart at the bends. In this case, the repair of the brake system is not limited to only one side. If you had to change one hose, then the second also, most likely, will soon break, so it is recommended to change them in pairs.
There are times when one of the tubes is interrupted by a stone from under the bottom, then it is only subject to replacement. After this, you will still have to remove air from the system, but, thanks again to the dual-circuit system, from only one circuit.
In addition to the above, the most common brake system malfunction is the wear of the pads, both front and rear. It is proved that drum brakes have less efficiency and wear resistance, therefore, such pads have to be changed much more often than disk ones. As for the drums and discs themselves, the former, as a rule, are made of aluminum, and the latter are made of steel, they are practically not subject to wear.
Failures of the brake system can lead to very disastrous consequences, since untimely braking leads to an accident. Well, if it does without casualties, but at high speed it is unlikely. Therefore, about such a thing as a brake system, you need to constantly remember, monitor the condition of the pipeline, and also monitor the level of brake fluid in the tank. If a breakdown occurs, timely repair of the brake system must be carried out. This is the key to safety on the road, in addition, do not forget about observing the speed limit.
