If you think that girls walking along the streets with a graceful leisurely walk, do not cost any effort so skillfully in high heels, you are very mistaken. Only a few feel quite comfortable wearing such shoes every day. And this is not a 15-centimeter hairpin, but a rather stable platform.

Before we talk about the highest heels in the world, let us turn a little to history. The prototype of the heels can be considered a certain invention in ancient Egypt. Heels, as we are used to seeing them today, appeared in the era of the Golden Horde, and not women at that time wore them. It was the prerogative of men, or rather, male riders who wore such shoes in order to better keep themselves in a stirrup.
The first woman to wear heels was Catherine de Medici. It happened in the XVI century. She was very small (about 150 centimeters) and, to seem taller at her own wedding, tried on a heel of 5 centimeters.
5 centimeters! Once upon a time, such a height of shoes was quite large, which does not at all compare with the highest heels today.

It is difficult to say what can be considered heels in the modern world, when fashion is more shocking every day. You can attach planks about half a meter high to ballet shoes, and now you are the owner of the highest heels. But let's stop fantasizing and turn to the facts.
Every girl, even if she is not a fan of shoes, knows the brand of designer Christian Louboutin with his famous red sole. So in 2011 at a charity evening in honor of the English National Ballet, the master presented pointe shoes 8 inches high (a little more than 20 centimeters). This shoe has no platform: that is, the girl literally has to walk on tiptoe. That's for sure the ballerina's shoes!
Another designer (only now from Romania), Mihai Albu, who is rightly called the "shoe architect", created the highest heel on shoes a year before Louboutin. Its length was 12 inches (about 30.5 centimeters).
His other creations with less impressive heels are also worthy of special attention: they are all unique and inimitable. And they are, of course, also unique! But who talks about money when it comes to beauty!
A few years later, Albu's record was broken: the English brand LadyBWear Limited released world-famous shoes with a total height of 16 inches (more than 40 centimeters!), Of which 11 inches (28 centimeters) is a platform. A new record has been entered in the Guinness Book of Records and is kept there to this day.

We don’t think that many young ladies will decide to wear the highest heels of 40 centimeters, but you also need to be careful when wearing 10-15 centimeters:
- It is worth remembering that in some countries high heels are bad form.
