From time to time, when the brake pedal is released, air is drawn from the external environment - it is sucked in through damaged areas, and then it enters the fluid. Often this problem occurs every 6-12 months and is solved in half an hour. All you need is a liquid container, a pair of tools and one helper.
How to pump the brakes on the VAZ-2109 with an assistant?
On vehicles of the ninth family, this operation is performed in a certain sequence. The pumping goes according to the diagonal principle - first the rear right wheel, then the left front and rear, and then the front right.
So, let's get to work. First, add brake fluid to the MAX level (that is, to the maximum mark), then (if the rear discs are hung out), unlock the pressure regulator of the rear brake parts with a minus screwdriver (insert it between the piston and the plate) and remove the mechanism. Next, we clean the air exhaust valve from dust and dirt and remove the cap from it. We put a small rubber hose on the valve head, and immerse the other half in a transparent container filled with brake fluid half full.
Next, we call the assistant, so that he sharply pressed the pedal about 5-6 times with an interval of two seconds. This will be enough.
After that, the pedal remains depressed. At the same time, we unscrew the exhaust valve by half a turn and see the bubbles coming out of the hose. When they stop walking, we tell the assistant to let go of the brake pedal. So we continue to do with all the wheels until all the air leaves the system.
After performing all of the above operations, wipe the outlet valve fitting and put it on the cap. How to pump the brakes on the VAZ-2109 alone?
We will need to purchase a special mechanism for pumping the brakes. It is called "AERATOR". It can be found in almost any car shop or in the city market. Such a device is inexpensive, about 80 rubles. When performing work, we connect the wheel valve to the valve on the tank. Next, we lift the car with a jack, remove the wheels and unscrew the brake bleeding fitting. The air pressure we created will drive all the fluid out of the car system.
Similarly to the previous case, we first work with the rear right wheel, then move to the front left, then to the left rear and, finally, to the front right.
