In Russia, several modifications of the widely known "Thunderstorm" revolver are being produced . There are 2 lines of this weapon, the difference between them is only in the material of manufacture. This is a revolver under the names "p-03 C", "02-C", "04-C", "06-C" and several more types. Each of them is an excellent example of personal traumatic weapons for self-defense, although at first it does not look light and compact, its appearance is also standard, without frills. The prefix "c" in the name indicates that the injury is made of steel, if it does not exist in the name, then a TsAM alloy is used. Revolver "Thunderstorm" is made by the Moscow company "Tekhnoarms" on the basis of the Czech counterpart called "Alpha-440", it is distinguished by high-quality assembly.
Manufacturers order some details of this injury in the Czech Republic. They also use Russian revolvers in European countries, where they have proven themselves well. The lack of shutter and automation makes this type of weapon more reliable than a gun.
General information
This is a double-action revolver, that is, you can shoot both with self-cocking and with the trigger placed in a sear. The initiation system here is made in the simplest way. When cocking a special shelf takes a vertical position, while overlapping the drummer. At the moment of descent, the trigger strikes precisely this shelf, and that, in turn, hits the drummer. Thus, a spontaneous shot is excluded, for example, if the Thunderstorm revolver falls. The drum is opened with a key located on the left side.
This revolver is six-shot, made under the nine millimeter cartridge (it is allowed to use not only traumatic, but also pneumatic or starting, idle), it is charged through the munklip. It should be noted that the drum and trigger (trigger mechanism) for models made of TsAM are still made of metal. Also on steel models, the handle has a more orthopedic shape, in alloy models it is simplified. For steel revolvers, the bar is not ventilated, although for a rubber boom this plays a more aesthetic role than a practical one.
Mods Overview
Models "p-04" and "p-06" are equipped with adjustable sights, they can be calibrated vertically and horizontally. At the muzzle, the Thunderstorm revolver has decorative rifling, straight along the entire length of the barrel. This traumatic weapon is also made of TsAM alloys, it is slightly lighter, slightly different in shape from steel models. This material and reduces the cost of production.
Revolver "Thunderstorm r-03" is distinguished by a three-inch barrel, on which there are no sights. Modification "r-06" is considered a purely sporting weapon, as it has a large weight (1150 grams) and size, which makes its hidden carrying impossible. Revolver "Thunderstorm r-02" has a barrel of two inches. This short-handle injury is optimal for wearing in the summer. It is produced in caliber 45 Rubber under a traumatic cartridge. When firing, any of the models presented by the plant creates a fairly high accuracy of shots.
