Sumy State University is one of the higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The university has a fairly high position in international rankings. The university is located in the city of Sumy (the city is the main one in the region). Training is conducted in many humanitarian and technical specialties. History of University
In the 60s of the last century, the university had the status of a branch of the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute. Only thirty years later, his situation changed somewhat. In 1990, this institution of higher education was given the status of a physics and technology institute. Already in accordance with a ministerial decree in 1993, the position of the university has changed significantly. And to this day it is called Sumy State University. This institution of higher education has a classical principle of formation.
Faculties of Sumy University
According to the latest data, the university has 8 faculties, about 50 departments. Professional training of students is carried out at existing educational levels (bachelor, specialist, master). In total, the university is studying in fifty-five specialties. The total area of scientific buildings includes more than 180 thousand square meters. Four sports centers operate separately, where they have their own pool, they also teach rowing, skiing, etc. In 2015, a health camp for students was opened. In addition, educational buildings are equipped with gyms, sports grounds near buildings, a tennis court and a stadium.

Sumy State University is among the universities that have signed the Bologna Charter. SSU collaborates with several influential student exchange organizations. It is also a member of the International, European and Eurasian University Associations.
We are actively cooperating with a large number of partners in the face of American, British, German and Austrian, French, Belgian, Polish, Swedish, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Japanese, South Korean, Chinese, Russian and other educational institutions, as well as with individual scientists from these countries.
