Marmalade is one of the most delicious and healthy sweets. It strengthens ligaments and cartilage, stimulates mental activity, improves the condition of the skin, hair and nails, and also improves immunity. The range of such goodies in supermarkets is quite large. But you can cook it at home from a product that is available in almost every home - from jam.
Choose jam
Making marmalade from jam is quite simple. And for its manufacture, absolutely any sweet preparation is suitable. Jam from pears, apples, strawberries, raspberries and other berries and fruits is perfect in order to prepare a delicious treat for your family. It can also be different in consistency. For marmalade use jam with whole and grated berries or only syrup from it. If you want to make marmalade with a homogeneous mass, then you must first dilute the jam with water and grind it with a blender.

- In a pot with a thick bottom, put two glasses of jam and put on a slow fire.
- After boiling jam for five minutes, with constant stirring, add swollen gelatin to it. It is important to no longer allow the boiling process of these ingredients.
- After the gelatin grains have dissolved, add lemon juice.
- Mix this mass and pour it into molds. It is worth noting that the forms must first be greased with vegetable oil.
- We send the blanks to the refrigerator for four hours. After this time, marmalade from jam is ready.
Marmalade from agar agar
In this case, agar agar powder acts as a thickener. The composition of such a substance has useful properties: it compensates for the lack of iodine in the body, improves digestion and liver function.
The process of such useful marmalade from jam and agar-agar is quite simple:
- Grind any jam until smooth. Transfer the resulting mass to a pan and boil.
- After five minutes of active drilling, add two teaspoons of agar-agar powder mixed with the same amount of sugar to the mixture.
- After this, boil over a minimum heat for another five minutes and arrange in pre-oiled tins.
Agar agar has the ability to solidify well at room temperature, so sending blanks to the refrigerator is optional. Ready frozen marmalade can be rolled in sugar or icing sugar.
