Every motorist knows that the normal performance of an automatic transmission of any car depends on the level of ATP. Some auto brands check this indicator taking into account certain features.
If the oil level in the automatic transmission is low, in this case, the pump along with the oil traps air. The result is an emulsion with low heat capacity and thermal conductivity. As a result of this, the oil is compressed, the pressure decreases, the heat is poorly removed, and the automatic transmission quickly fails.
Automatic oil change
To carry out a complete oil change in an automatic transmission, you must:
- Find a garage with a pit or a flyover.
- The keys are 10 and 14. You can use the heads or pipes.
- The right amount of oil. When choosing this fluid, the marking of the automatic transmission should be taken into account. An oil change in the gearbox is also carried out on the basis of the brand of the car and the installed gearbox.
- New oil filter and automatic transmission pan gasket .
- Funnel that fits in the automatic transmission dipstick .
- Hose clamp pliers.
- A few bottles to measure drained oil.
- Tank for draining mining and dirty gasoline.
- 1-2 liters of gasoline.
Oil change in the automatic transmission of a Toyota car
To replace this fluid, you will need to perform the following steps:
- Call in overpass.
- Get under the car.
- Feel for the drain plug located in the automatic transmission pan.
- Unscrew the plug with the head at 14. Before this, place a measuring container under the plug. You can also drain the oil into unnecessary containers in order to detect the amount of liquid drained. This is necessary to avoid overfilling or underfilling of oil.
- Remove protection and unscrew drain plug.
- Disconnect the exhaust hose from the radiator, draining oil from there.
- Connect the hose to the radiator to pump out fluid. This procedure lasts approximately 15 minutes.
- After that, the oil change in the automatic transmission continues. At this stage, the hose must be connected to the radiator, while screwing the drain plug. However, first disconnect the container.
- Lower the car. Pour 2.5 liters of oil.
- Turn on and turn off the car about 3-4 times, in order to pump oil into the system. Due to this design, oil is poured into the drain pan.
- Disconnect hose.
- Place the exhaust hose to the radiator.
- Connect a diagnostic apparatus to the connector , which will add oil through the dipstick.
- Check how the oil change took place in the automatic transmission (Toyota is a car or a different brand).
It should be noted that this process lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Some experts believe that it is not necessary to install a new filter and gasket. The main thing is that these parts are operational. Otherwise, the oil change in the automatic transmission should take place along with the installation of a new filter and a gasket pan.
