Asus Geforce 210 graphics card is an ultra-budget solution for the assembly of computers designed for office use. Asus Geforce 210 has 1GB of GDDR3 video memory. The chip manufacturer is SK Hynix. However, the real memory is only 512 MB, the expansion to 1 GB is due to a special technology that takes 512 MB from RAM. To transmit information, a simple 64-bit bus is used, the throughput of which is 9.6 GB per second.
Cooling
The cooling system of the ASUS GeForce 210 is a small heatsink made of aluminum. It is made in the standard form of ribs. Such a system ensures silent operation even at high loads. In stress tests, the video card did not heat up above 68 degrees. The indicator is pretty good considering the cooling system without an active element. In the standard mode of operation (office programs, watching movies, surfing the web), the temperature is much lower. In this case, the video card does not heat up above 50 degrees. In general, the cooling system leaves a positive impression. Despite the design, she completely copes with her duties, remaining silent.
Testing
We tested the video card in conjunction with the Intel Core i7-4770K processor. During tests, it was found that the integrated graphics chip HD Graphics 4600 turned out to be much more productive than the ASUS GeForce 210. Even in games, the core is ahead of the discrete graphics card.
Performance ASUS GeForce 210 is enough to work with text editors, many programs and old games. It plays video in HD format well, copes with browser toys perfectly. More demanding games, even in conjunction with other powerful components, cannot be launched. Therefore, in this case, a more logical solution would be to purchase a more productive graphics accelerator.
