Dry perfumes are a very original form of release of aromas. In addition, the form is very, very comfortable. Often such perfumes are called "dry." In fact, they are a dense, waxy composition, almost solid consistency. These perfumes differ from the classical ones in greater saturation, which is ensured by the maximum concentration of aromatic substances in them. But due to the lack of ambergris in their composition, which is necessarily present in liquid form, the flavor disappears faster, so it must be applied several times a day.
Dry perfumes are produced by a fairly limited number of companies, because so far they are not as popular as their alcohol counterparts. However, the idea itself is by no means new. Such aromas in solid form have been made for centuries in the East, where incense has always been and remains in high esteem.
Another indisputable advantage of such spirits is that they can be stored extremely long, their shelf life is unlimited. Closed boxes or caskets retain the smell of the composition for years. The aroma does not change over time and does not lose its original intensity. Boxes with aromas are very convenient to take with you: they are light, comfortable, there is no risk that the contents will spill out.
Since all of their owners always carry dry perfumes with them in their purses, the container for storing them gradually turned into real jewelry and stylish accessories. Today perfumes are even produced in containers in the form of jewelry - pendants, earrings, rings and cufflinks. Perfumes produced in Asian countries are often placed in painted caskets or lacquered wooden boxes, which turn into an original interior decoration.
Dry perfumes are half composed of aromatic substances (most often it is aromatic oils, ambergris, civet). The basis is wax, talc or paraffin, which are used to prevent the aroma from evaporating.
There are many ways to use perfume. It is best to apply them in places where the vessels are close to the skin: on the bends of the elbows, wrists, neck, under the knees. Many people prefer to put the box in a closet with clothes, so that it is saturated with a pleasant aroma. Some use them as incense, placing them in an aroma lamp.
By the way, dry perfumes are also hypoallergenic, so they can be recommended to those who can’t use the usual perfume because of coughing attacks or other manifestations of the body’s negative reaction to the alcohol composition.
Which perfume to choose? One of the most popular today is the dry perfume Yves Rocher. They are distinguished by good quality characteristics at a fairly affordable cost. Many people believe that these perfumes have a too delicate aroma, which lacks saturation, and they do not leave a trail, although the aromas themselves are very pleasant. But this, of course, is a matter of taste.
"Oriflame" ("Oriflame") produces in dry form an analogue of its perfume "Devine". It is believed that in this version the aroma is more refined and reveals more sophisticatedly.
“Avon” creates dry perfumes based on hibiscus and freesia aromas, characterized by the originality of aroma combinations.
MaryKay produces a dry flavor called Belara. They have a floral-musky smell.
The dry perfume “Caramel” from the perfume studio Demeter Fragrance is something completely new in the history of perfumery, something close to a real work of art. This is a new idea in the studio’s creative aromatheque, which is not like everything that is commonly understood as perfume. This aroma is based on sugar starch syrup, it is sweet and very recognizable. These are not just variations on the theme, but a real “candy” that leaves a pleasant and warm trail of burnt sugar familiar from childhood .
However, no matter what perfume company you choose, the main thing is to learn how to use them correctly, to always howl at the height and in the encirclement of a pleasant light cloud of your favorite aroma.
