Loft style has appeared in our vocabulary relatively recently. In the middle of the twentieth century in America, many people were deprived of a roof over their heads, and their shelter became workshop and factory premises, attics of high-rise buildings, warehouses and abandoned storage facilities. Gradually, in such "apartments" it became more comfortable, and that aura, which was created due to bare walls, hanging pipes and other previously unacceptable elements of housing, acquired the status of a separate design style.
Nowadays, there is nothing easier than decorating your apartment in a similar spirit. Such a design image will be appropriate to look in the room of a teenager, in the living room and even in the kitchen. But here a loft-style bedroom is doubtful for many people: will it be comfortable to live in such a “harsh” room? In fact, if you wisely approach the design of the interior of this living room, then any image will give it coziness. Using various elements of decor, textiles and, of course, design tricks, you will achieve the desired result.
So, first, let's decide on the walls. The loft-style bedroom will not tolerate bright and catchy colors, as the fullness of the color will appear in very large details (bricks, pipes and so on). As a rule, one or two surfaces are decorated with brickwork (it can be decorative or real), and all other walls are plastered and painted in bright monophonic paint. Choose a shade depending on the color of the brick: if it is red, then it can be tinted with a snow-white coating or opt for light gray paint. If the walls are made of gray, white brick, then it is desirable to cover the remaining surfaces with warm tones. It can be ocher diluted with white, terracotta or pale pink paint.
A loft bedroom, like any other, should have a bed in its center. As a rule, furniture in a minimalist style is chosen to create the desired effect. It can be a wooden bed without sides, which is completely hidden under the bedding. If you want to make this furniture element brighter, pick up a model with a chrome upper trim.
When creating
a bedroom design in the loft style, do not forget that all interior details and furniture must correspond to each other. Therefore, if your
bed has a metal frame, then the same material should be used in the cabinets, chest of drawers, coffee table. An exception may be upholstered furniture as well as a wardrobe. As for the latter, it should be noted that he should not pay all the attention to himself. A closet in such a room can have a mirror facade or just be smooth (matte). If a drawing is printed on its doors, it will divert attention and the overall stylistic idea will collapse.
The loft-style bedroom is also complemented by carpets. It is not necessary to carpet the floor in such an interior with a carpet, since such an interior detail was unacceptable for once abandoned rooms. You can put “duty” rugs near the bed or place a small palace on the free part of the floor, soft, low-key, but still high-quality.
