In what cases and how to enter the child in the parents passport

When planning trips abroad with children, you will need to think in advance about the relevant documents that will allow you to cross the border without any problems. In the spring of 2010, a ban was introduced on foreign trips without an identity document.

We go abroad with a child

If a joint trip with children was planned, then entering a child into an old-style passport eliminated the need for additional separate documents for the offspring. At the same time, there should not be any obstacles to joint border crossing, since the availability of the necessary record would confirm the relationship of the parent with the child. And yet, it would be best not just to enter the child in the passport. Documents that are necessary to complete an independent document will look similar.

In this case, the child will be able, if necessary, to independently cross the border, if the legislation of the Russian Federation allows this. Of course, small children alone will not be able to go abroad anyway, and for this option it will be best to write them in the parent's passport. If the child is not yet 14 years old, then there will be no need for a separate document. If cases of independent border crossing by a teenager are excluded (for example, as part of a tourist group), then you can not waste your time on this procedure.

What documents are required for children

Knowing how to enter the child in the passport, you can carry out this procedure yourself. First of all, you need to collect the necessary package of documents. Since the child can enter the child in the passport only his parent, then he will have to worry about collecting the following documentation:

1. Copies of all non-empty pages of the Russian internal passport.

2. Copies of birth certificates of children with a citizenship stamp.

3. Foreign passport of the parent.

4. Two matte photographs of an oval-shaped baby in black and white.

In order to make notes about children aged 6 to 14 years old in an old-style passport, a photograph was required, but this would not be needed either in the new-passport or in a biometric document.

Since a child can be included in a passport only if trips abroad will be organized for him exclusively with the personal accompaniment of a parent, then there can be no talk of independent travel (for example, with a school or a tourist group). The entry of a minor child in the passport does not mean that he will not need other documents. Parents should necessarily stock up on a birth certificate and make photocopies of it on both sides if the citizenship mark is on the back of the original.

If only one parent travels abroad

In cases where only one of the parents accompanies the child, then a notarized permission to export the child abroad should be taken from the other. This document will be needed sooner for insurance in case of unforeseen situations, since Russian border guards do not require such a document. A number of countries (for example, Ukraine) are also loyal to the situation of resort deliveries of Russian children to the Crimea, accompanied by one parent, and do not fix obstacles for entry and exit.

If there is doubt that the host country may have problems and questions, then it is better to clarify what specific rules the border services of certain states impose. This measure will protect against the risk of spoiling the parent's vacation and vacations that have not yet begun. If there is no time to enter children in a foreign passport at all, there are many organizations that provide services in the field of assistance with the preparation of the necessary documents. They will give advice on how to enter the child in the passport and take the trouble on registration. True, such a service means saving time and effort while increasing costs on the eve of travel.
