Throughout the development of mankind, various complex problems have constantly arisen that had to be solved, but only at the end of the 20th century, global problems of our time and ways to solve them became the concern of all members of the world community. Now they require the attention of all countries and the entire population of the Earth, and they can be overcome only if the public unites their efforts and develops a single economic policy.
The global
economic problems of our time have arisen in connection with an increase in
the world's population, the emergence of the global information infrastructure and the scientific and technological revolution. Perhaps today it is quite possible to agree with Vernadsky, the founder of the doctrine of the noosphere, who said that human activity is increasingly acquiring a scale comparable to the power of the forces of nature. And at the end of World War II, the problems of mankind from local forever turned into global, related to the inability of man to live in harmony with natural nature. The search for ways to rationally manage the power that mankind has received through scientific and technological progress and scientific and technical progress now affects every inhabitant of planet Earth.
The global problems of our time and the ways to solve them are the subject of research by many scientists all over the planet. To simplify understanding, a classification was proposed, according to which three main groups of problems were identified: interhuman, difficulties in relations with nature and with society. The cessation of
the arms race, the elimination of dangerous diseases, the safe exploration of outer space are the global problems of our time. And the ways to solve them require coordinated actions that will eliminate the threats looming over the planet, so let's dwell on them in more detail.
- The possibility of a thermonuclear war that will destroy all life on the planet. The only way to avoid this scenario is to end the arms race and maintain a nuclear-free world.
- Ecological crisis, which is associated with the increasing influence of human activity on the biosphere. Of course, the Greens are in favor of reducing the pace of industrial progress, but perhaps the most rational way out of this situation is to invest in energy-saving technologies that do not harm the environment.
- The threat of depletion of natural resources, which is associated with overpopulation of the planet. Many Asian countries have already introduced laws aimed at restricting fertility, while in the West the population is declining at a natural rate. Scientists are also studying the renewal of sources of raw materials and energy.
Therefore, the global problems of our time and the ways to solve them today do not go unnoticed, perhaps, in no country in the world, which suggests that their joint solution by all representatives of the world community is quite possible. Indeed, a reasonable limitation of scientific and technological progress, a world without wars and a humane attitude to nature - this is the only way to a happy future for all mankind.
