Very often, children, especially after watching the animated film Chuggington's Steam Engine, ask their parents how to draw a children's railway. A little engine for a child’s drawing is the main component, so to speak, of the fundamental principle, that’s why everything is started. It’s pretty banal to depict only rails and a couple of trees on each side. Therefore, today we will learn how to draw not only the railway, but also two types of trains - step by step.
We draw the wheels of the engine
So, how to draw a children's railway with a pencil along with a train standing on rails? Where to begin? Correctly, with a steam locomotive, it is more difficult to portray.
Take a sheet of paper and draw a straight line. If you are not sure that you can do it by eye, use the ruler.
Now on the right side you need to draw a circle so that its upper part (about one fifth) intersects with the previously drawn line. The accuracy of the proportions is not so important, the main thing is that most of the circle is located under the line. After you do, draw a small rectangle, and in its lower part, approximately in the middle, two small circles - these will be the wheels.
How to draw a children's railway and train next? To do this, take care of the front of our vehicle. First draw a line inside the rectangle parallel to its top side. Focusing on it, draw a small triangle. It should be slightly lower than the main part, but not on the same level with the wheels.
Inside the small wheels, draw in a small circle, inside the big wheel, draw two more - one bigger, the other smaller. From the right small wheel to the big one, draw two slashes - this will be the crankshaft.
We draw a cabin and a cylinder
To the big wheel draw a horizontal rectangle - the cabin. Detail it with small elements on top and side.
Draw one more smaller one above our first and main rectangle. Round off its sides, add more details: a pipe, a radiator grill, a window in the driver's cab.
Finishing touches
Carefully erase all excess lines and blemishes, draw rails and color the resulting pattern. For example, like this:
There is another option, how to draw a children's railway with a train. Perhaps it will seem easier to execute. Of course, first we draw a steam locomotive. But you can first outline the rails with two barely noticeable lines, to subsequently adjust them.
We draw a cabin
First, draw two intersecting lines so that more space remains on the left side of the album sheet. Parallel to the first horizontal line in the upper right part, draw another one. The new line should be about a third less than the main one.
From the left edge of the line, draw a small curve, as if concave inward. Repeat the same from the right edge. Draw two more of the same lines already inside the resulting space.
Now draw a “roof” and draw a small fun pipe. The cabin of the engine is ready.
We draw a "body" and wheels
Well, the cab is ready. How to draw a children's railway with a train next? Need to do the "torso" and wheels. Focusing on the bottom of the cab, draw a small curve from left to right. Connect it with small lines with the bottom of the cab and draw down two curved in different directions curves. Connect them together along the bottom of the line.
Focusing on this line, draw a circle - it will be a big wheel of your locomotive. Write another smaller one inside this circle and output the “crankshaft”. Draw another rectangle on the left side to the resulting back. Gently erase the left side and instead of a straight line, draw a little curved. At the bottom, place two small wheels. They should be located almost close to each other.
In the upper area of the rectangle, draw something like an inverted trapezoid with a concave “roof”. And extend the curve from the right to the end of the left.
And a bit more
The engine is almost ready. Detail the drawing by adding touches such as the inner circles inside the small wheels, the grille.
Carefully erase all the excess lines, draw or circle the rails, sketch a beautiful landscape and color the picture. You got a children's railway. To draw it in stages was not so difficult.
