Heroization of Nazism ... Where to start? Perhaps, according to Leo Tolstoy, who claimed that our life is crazy, completely crazy and crazy. And these are not just beautiful words, a figurative comparison or even exaggeration, but the simplest statement of what is ... Well, many years have passed since the great Russian writer, but, unfortunately, nothing has changed, and serves as a vivid example of how since the phenomenon of the glorification of Nazism is a modern form of insanity.
Nazism
So, the glorification of Nazism - what is it and, as they say, what is it eaten with? To begin with, we should dwell in detail on the very term "Nazism." According to an excerpt from the Big Law Dictionary edited by A.Ya. Sukharev, the word "born" from the name of the National Socialist Party of Germany, but later expanded, went beyond a simple, rarely used lexical unit and went down in history as the name of "ideology and practice of the Hitler regime in Germany" from 1933 to 1945 . Figuratively speaking, Nazism is a rather sharp cocktail, its constituent elements - extreme nationalism, totalitarianism, racism, fascism, anti-Semitism and socialism - are all extremely explosive. However, in the first half of the last century, the "aroma" of this drink, despite the harshness and the anxiety and danger emanating from it, spread quite quickly, far and many liked it. Why? There are many reasons for this. One of them is the inability to resist the temptation of their own exclusivity, in this case - national. It is characteristic, to a greater or lesser extent, of all peoples, and sooner or later all nations pass through it, but again with different goals and consequences. Nazi Germany put the “Aryan race” in the forefront and declared its main goal to build a racially pure state on a fairly vast territory.

Practical implementation
The era of praise and exaltation of the "Aryan race" is often called the time of "admiration and terror." An amazing and paradoxical combination, right? But it had a place to be. Indeed, the whole nation was rapidly, with unprecedented enthusiasm and agitating euphoria, rose, united and rushed to cleanse the German lands from the “clogging” foreigners at first, and then expand the living space by expelling and destroying other peoples for the growing German-speaking population. Rise, rapture and ecstasy stepped in step with terror and genocide. The end justified any means. But the truth sooner or later expels any truths and falsehoods: exaltation leads only to one thing - a fall. And Germany fell, and the world, at the cost of enormous sacrifices, learned another lesson - always and everywhere to say to fascism and Nazism "No!"
Nuremberg
Human society has long learned to bring to justice and sentence certain villains or gangs. But 1945-1946 - this is the time when the whole world for the first time in the history of mankind has united and condemned the countless crimes of Nazi Germany. The international military tribunal in Nuremberg was called not to "execute" the Nazis on the spot, but to judge in a civilized manner. Any quick reprisal against the defeated enemy does not lead to the realization of the admitted evil on both sides. It only quenches the thirst for revenge. Therefore, during the Nuremberg trials, all documentary evidence of the crimes committed was collected, possible witnesses were interviewed, and the procedural guarantees gave the defendants the right to a lawyer and to give explanations. The result of such a unique and large-scale event - this Court of Nations - was a real, deep understanding of the tragedy. The main culprits were punished, and the peoples of the world unanimously declared their unconditional acceptance of Nazism and the condemnation of all violence against man and the state. A public demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia and symbols, the spread of organizations and movements professing national socialist slogans - all this is legally prohibited in Europe and Latin America. But…

Growing contradictions
But apparently, humanity has too short a memory, it is better to say, not short, but unreliable, ready to succumb to persuasion and change itself under the influence of other ideas. So, the Nuremberg trials are behind, outwardly friendly relations between the allied countries: the USSR, the USA and Great Britain are preserved. But it was only outwardly. In practice, a completely different thing was revealed: there could be only one winner, and the contradictions within the anti-Hitler coalition were growing. The USSR rightfully claimed the primacy, since it really was both the main winner of fascism and the main victim of it, and hence more “privileges” and authority in deciding on the post-war “drawing of a new world”. Stalin sought territorial expansion of the USSR and had claims to increase communist influence in Eastern Europe. Well, it’s quite logical and reasonable, but ...
Fulton speech
But the leaders of Great Britain and the United States reacted to these trends, to put it mildly, with great discontent. Churchill, as a great politician, correctly assessed the situation and made a competent decision. Great Britain, which was considered the main European power before the war, was no longer such. Western Europe was ravaged. Eastern Europe was under communist influence. Therefore, the main stake was placed on the United States. They suffered the least from the war, were the sole owner of atomic weapons and, most importantly, were part of the "Anglo-Saxon" world. Churchill's Fulton speech outlined the contours of the new world order: from now on, the United States is the pinnacle of world power, since only American democracy and the “fraternal association of English-speaking peoples” can withstand war and tyranny, of which the USSR is. The iron curtain was down.
Racial theory
In fact, Mr. Churchill placed the "Anglo-Saxon race" above all. It turns out that the theory of racial superiority of the “Aryans” was at the heart of the outbreak of World War II, and in the so-called Cold War there was a certain “racial mission” of the Anglo-Saxon peoples. And if so, then “Nazism” lived, lives and will live, and the Nuremberg trials, the condemnation of Nazism, fascism, all kinds of intolerance and the prohibition of propagating these ideas at the legislative level is just a farce. In other words, the heroization of Nazism already took its first test steps, since it is impossible to “stigmatize” what you do yourself ...
The heroism of Nazism is ...
After the end of the war, during the first ten years a new trend arises - neo-Nazism, literally read - a new Nazism. But, as they say, everything new is a well-forgotten old, and the new doctrine consists of the same elements of chauvinism, fascism, racism, xenophobia, homophobia and anti-Semitism. Like leaps and bounds, starting from the 60s to today, all over the world, and this is not an exaggeration, neo-Nazi political parties and social movements are growing and multiplying, which either profess National Socialist views, or ideas close to them, or declare themselves direct followers of the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany. In addition to ideas, they actively use the symbolism, appeals and slogans of the Third Reich.
Under these conditions, other forces are also intensifying, striving not only to “overestimate” the results of World War II, but also to completely distort history. “Strange” books are being written, “racial pseudo-theories” are being popularized, a lot of feature films, television programs that interpret history in their own way appear: the leaders of the Third Reich become real heroes, the Holocaust is denied, and the Nuremberg trials take on the features of a “fabricated case”. The question is: do laws work? Yes and no. On the one hand, in any legislation there are "loopholes" that allow circumventing a particular law. On the other hand, such a massive “glorification of Nazism” speaks not only of the imperfection of the legislation and social structure, but also of another, more dangerous reason — this is very, very necessary for someone. For what? First of all, as an effective tool for manipulation. Seeds of national superiority, especially if they are regularly watered, always give a good harvest, which again can be used immediately, or can be preserved until the “best” times. And since this is not a simple layman, the fight against the glorification of Nazism at the level of laws is definitely necessary, but it cannot give any tangible results.

Heroization of Nazism: UN
But, in spite of everything, it is necessary to continue “shouting” about this trouble. Every year from the media we hear the same words: “the glorification of Nazism”, “resolution”, “UN”. Yes, indeed, the UN General Assembly is not yet perfect, but the only platform on which constructive discussion of problems is possible, because in any case, unification is the solution to all issues. On November 21, 2014, the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly once again adopted a resolution to take effective measures to combat the glorification of Nazism.
This document, presented by Russia, says that the glorification of Nazism is, first of all, the spread of extremist political parties and associations in many countries of the world, including neo-nationalist organizations and groups of so-called skinheads. The rehabilitation of the Nazi movement, the glorification of Nazi collaborators, former members of the German Waffen SS organization, the construction of monuments and memorials by him belong to the same trend. All of the above causes extreme concern and concern and requires stricter opposition to the revival of Nazi ideology in accordance with international acts in the field of human rights.
115 states voted “for”, three “against”: the USA, Canada and Ukraine, which is not surprising and quite predictable ...
