Drawing eyes is a special art, perfectly mastering which, you can make a portrait of any person or cartoon character expressive and lively. So how to draw eyes so that everyone who sees them admires the artist’s skill, your skill? Let's look at a few simple schemes that will help you learn to portray the “mirror of the soul.”

So, we learn to draw eyes. You can start portraying them in different ways. Firstly, you can use the tutorial on drawing, which describes in detail all the possible options for the image of the desired object. We turn to the study of several basic schemes. First you need to draw the shape of the future eye, and then gradually add details. In other words, the first thing to appear on paper is an oval, as this is an approximate form of the human eye. It is important to remember that it is different for everyone, so do not forget to draw it special and unique. After that, we depict the upper and lower eyelids, which will help give the image volume and naturalness. Particular attention should be paid to the iris, as the
expression of the eyes directly depends on its shape, size and color
. We draw a circle inside the previously prepared oval. Do not make it too big, as it will look strange. Inside this composition, add a small black dot - the pupil. If you plan to leave the image black and white, then gently shade the iris: near the pupil we press harder on a pencil or black pen, and near the edge weaker. Just then the eye will turn out realistic. Do not forget to add eyelashes. The top row of eyelashes should be thick, and the bottom is about two to three times less likely than the previous one. This is one way to draw eyes.
Consider another way to image the eye. We draw three circles of different diameters having a common center. Thus, the circles should be located in each other. The largest circle is the approximate size of the future image. Two arcs should be entered into it - the lower and upper eyelids of the eye. The middle circle is the
iris, and the smallest is the pupil. Now we are working on the
shape of the eye. First, we specify the shape of the eyelids to make the future eye as individual as possible. Do not forget to add eyelashes to give the eye a finished look. Using this image technique, the picture will be proportional and accurate.
It is more difficult to draw eyes in profile or when they look up. How to draw eyes of these kinds? It should be noted that the proportions of such images will slightly differ from those described above. For example, eyes looking up will have a sufficiently large lower eyelid, which will help convey the necessary direction of gaze. If you portray a person’s face in profile, then the eyes in shape will resemble a cone. In this case, the iris should be drawn in the shape of an ellipse. Everything else is drawn, as in the above cases, when the eyes look straight: eyelashes, upper eyelid. At the end of the drawing, you can color the resulting image to give it completeness and vitality.
So, now you know how to draw eyes, so you can create magnificent portraits!
