Therefore, an enema during pregnancy, accompanied by such factors, is undesirable.

But if an enema is not recommended for pregnant women, how to cleanse the intestines? Such a question is heard daily at receptions by all gynecologists. The fact is that even resorting to such a radical and quick way to cleanse the intestines, you do not get rid of the most important thing - the cause of constipation. It is necessary to fight precisely with them, and not with the investigation.

Firstly, diet matters. Open the refrigerator and vote critical of everything that is stored there, being the foundation of your diet. At least half of the diet should be vegetables and fruits, bran, natural juices, yogurt, kefir, fermented baked milk. Believe me, this will immediately set your body in the right way and no enema can do better during pregnancy.

It is advisable to drink fresh kefir before bedtime, and your morning should begin with a warm glass of water. Just do not drink boiled water, it is better to clean spring or filtered water at room temperature. You can warm it up a bit.
The second important point in helping your gut is a lifestyle change. Constipation, alas, is the lot of those who move a little. And during pregnancy, this is especially true, because the uterus presses on the intestines and complicates its patency. Therefore, the exit is movement. Of course, this does not mean that now you can run on simulators or, worse, download the press, as in the good old days. But special gymnastics for pregnant women using rubber balls, light stretch marks and massage is truly capable of working wonders!

In any case, an enema during pregnancy, even if it is placed, only after your attending physician, having tried more and more gentle methods, gives the go-ahead for such a procedure. And this will happen only if there is serious evidence.

Remember, an enema is done at most once a week. Its volume should not exceed 0.5 liters. Tincture of chamomile, calendula or a few drops of oil are added to the water - this is also decided by the doctor.

And in addition, the procedure itself is carried out under the supervision of a nurse, since putting an enema at home you risk an infection, and this is no less serious than constipation. Only in good sterile conditions can an enema be given to a pregnant woman and there should be no alternative.
