Tikhvin Church

The Tikhvin Church in Bryansk is named after the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God. It used to be a wooden temple, supposedly built in the 16th century. The modern temple building dates back to 1755. Made in the Baroque style, very relevant for that time, it immediately catches the eye with its unique beauty.

The temple was built for 14 years. A hundred years after the opening of the temple, it will be enlarged and completed. During the time of Stalin, the abbot of the church was shot, until the collapse of the USSR, services in the church were no longer held.

Tikhvin Church

The churches of Bryansk almost all were ruined and closed during the Soviet era. Nowadays, they are actively being restored and worship is being held in them again.
