Despite the fact that many users of mobile devices around the world prefer to have the Android OS on their mobile gadgets, rightly believing that this system is better and more reliable than their competitors, recently the developers presented an unpleasant surprise. After updating the phone firmware, the latest flagships began to report that an error occurred while receiving data from the Play Market server. Therefore, all users rushed to look for a solution to this problem.
Lock
The first thing you need to check if you encounter an error while receiving data from the server is a possible blocking of this service by built-in means. Download any file manager for your device via computer.
After starting, go to the system / etc folder. We are interested in the hosts file. Open it with any text editor. Initially, this file should contain only one line with the value localhost. Everything else can be safely removed.
Manual cleaning
Since we started with a method that requires downloading a file manager to the device, we should immediately mention the most dangerous method of solving the problem in the Play Market service. An error when receiving data from the server may occur due to broken or broken settings of the account and the application itself. Therefore, one way to overcome this problem is to clear the contents of the com.android.vending folder using the file manager. This technique is recommended exclusively for advanced users.
Data cleansing
If you think that a problem arose during your use of Google Play, then a full reset of the application data may help. To do this, go to the phone settings and select "Applications" (programs). An error when receiving data from the server occurs when three utilities are working - Google Play, Google Services Framework, Google Play services. For all these applications, you need to repeat the same procedure. We select them from the list and alternately click the Stop, Delete Updates, Clear Cache, and Clear Data commands.
After that, go to the settings of the Google account and turn off all synchronization on the phone. Reboot the device. Now you can check the performance of the Play Market.
It should be noted right away that this method is not particularly good and, apparently, was compiled by not quite competent people. By analyzing the above actions, we can assume that the error lies in the account settings, but we simply enclose it from the application without eliminating the source of the problem itself.
Reinstall
One of the easiest and safest ways to get rid of the "Error receiving data from the Play Market server" message is to reinstall the completely Google Play Market. Remove it completely from your device, and then download and reinstall it using a personal computer.
If we recall the previous paragraph, then we can confidently say that this method does not always work. But since it is relatively safe, it is worth trying out first.
In addition to reinstalling the application, it is also worth remembering that an error when receiving data from the server begins to appear on devices after updating the system. You can either roll back the OS at the time before the update, or upgrade the device to an older version. In any case, this should be done carefully, since independent intervention in the gadget system may lead to a denial of maintenance by the seller.
Account
This method is the other side of the coin in solving the problem. It is assumed that the error crept into the userās data due to synchronization. If your device after all the previous steps writes: "Error while receiving data from the server", then select one of the following methods.
- Reset device. Go to your phoneās settings and click āRestore and resetā. All data relating to the account and applications will be deleted. After this operation, you can reconnect the existing account to the device. After downloading the application, all data will be returned to the place.
- If the previous method didnāt help, try deleting the existing āGoogleā account and adding a new one instead.
- Or simply join the second account without deleting the old one.
Most likely, just one of these methods will help you.
Service
Since an error in receiving data from the server appears after an official update of the deviceās operating system, you have every right to contact the service center with a similar problem, and they will be required to conduct free maintenance. So a hundred times first, think about whether you should try to fix the error yourself, because after your manipulations you can easily be denied help. Especially if you turn your gadget into an ordinary "brick" with your own hands. In this case, prepare money for a new mobile phone.
