Well, if the windows are not planned to be opened at all, then it will last 3-5 years. This period can be increased by several times if silicone sealant is used instead of paraffin.

Just not ordinary polyethylene transparent - negative temperatures make it like a fragile thin glass. A rectangular piece of material is secured to the frame from the outside so that the gap between them is very small. Masters do not recommend using self-adhesive foam tape when pasting windows. Of course, it can be inserted between the frames, but at the same time it is necessary to strictly observe the gap size (approximately 35 mm), which is almost impossible to achieve. Also, tape for
painting and a medical plaster are not suitable. The first one after several weeks will dry out and exfoliate from the frame, again opening all the cracks. The second, on the contrary, will adhere so firmly that with the onset of spring it will have to be peeled away zealously, and then the window should be painted again.
