What is necessary for passing inspection

Since 2012, there are new rules for passing vehicle inspection . The purpose of the event itself remained the same: to prevent access to operation

what is necessary for passing inspection
cars, the use of which is potentially dangerous both for the driver himself and for others. Therefore, the essence of inspection still comes down to checking the technical condition, identifying machine malfunctions. It logically follows from here that it is necessary to begin with the preparation for the vehicle to undergo inspection. What should I look for?

First, make sure you have a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, warning triangle. Fire extinguisher capacity recommended at least 2 liters. It’s recommended - they cannot oblige you to this,

but do not try to save on a fire extinguisher on this basis (this is not in your interests - with a fire extinguisher of a smaller capacity in case of fire, you simply cannot save your property). Fire extinguisher and first aid kit must not be expired. Please note that you need to have a warning sign of a new sample - two-color (the outer circuit is red, the inner one is orange) for passing the inspection.

If your driver's experience is less than 2 years old, the rear window should have the sign "novice driver"; if you are "on the spikes" - also the corresponding sign, the letter "Sh" in the triangle.

Now you can pay attention to the car itself. What do you need to check for passing inspection?

- the performance of all lighting devices, handbrake, horn, wipers and windshield washers;

- tires (tread height at least 1.6 mm, there should be no cuts or tears);

- absence of smudges of oil, fuel, coolant (if spots remain under the machine after parking, this is an alarm signal);

- integrity of brake hoses, cylinders, tubes;

- serviceability of brakes.

new rules
If there is a crack on the windshield of your car, make sure that it is outside the working area of the “janitor” on the driver's side; otherwise the inspection will not pass.

Inspection documents must be provided as follows:

- vehicle passport ;

- power of attorney, if you are not the owner;

- passport (citizen);

- paid receipts.

The power of attorney must necessarily indicate the passage of the technical inspection as a sphere of delegation of authority (“I trust to undergo a technical inspection and perform all related activities”).

Many believe that it is necessary to have a medical certificate and a compulsory motor third-party liability insurance policy in hand for passing the inspection. This is not true.

What has changed with the introduction of the new rules? Now you can either go through the TRP - state technical inspection at the inspection point under the auspices of the STSI; or technical inspection at any private point that has the appropriate registration. If you purchased your car from an authorized dealer, your dealer will almost certainly have such a registration - inspection in this case will cost you less.

After passing the inspection, you get a diagnostic card in your hands, which you do not need to carry with you: the data about your passing the MOT is already “clogged” in the traffic police database, to which each inspector has access. No inspection tickets are issued anymore, there is no need to periodically hang something, and then scrape it off the windshield, no more.
