Honda cars of the Civic family have been mass-produced since 1972. During all this time, the mentioned Japanese cars constantly changed their appearance, the interior was radically transformed, the line of power plants changed. At the moment, the company has significantly expanded the range of modifications of the Civic family of cars , the most popular of which is the Honda Civic 4D version (reviews and technical specifications of this modification are further in our article).
Appearance
The Japanese have always been cutting-edge in terms of the design of their cars. Honda Civic 4D was no exception. The current version of this sedan can hardly be called outdated - it is a fact. And in the world market there are not so many cars that would differ in such a fresh design, ergonomics and attractive cost. Well, consider the exterior of the Civic in more detail.

The first thing that catches your eye is a strict form of optics, including headlights. By their design, along with the radiator grille, they form one single bend, which is successfully emphasized by a chrome strip at the level of foglights. The hood has acquired more relief forms, and the roof itself is very streamlined. Good news for fans of the Honda Civic 4D - the wheels now have a more modern design and perfectly emphasize the style of the car. A large glazing area gives good visibility to the driver, but at the same time, the risk of chips on the windshield is very high, especially if this car will be used in the CIS countries.
The back of the car is decorated in a dynamic, modern style. The presence of strict embossed optics and chrome moldings on the trunk lid make the design of the Honda Civic even more attractive. Additional brake lights are integrated in the rear bumper. From the point of view of aesthetics, this is very beautiful, but in terms of practicality a mistake has been made: with the slightest accident, they will have to be changed.
In general, the Honda Civic 4D looks very solid, fresh and attractive, which, in principle, is necessary for a modern car of this class.
Dimensions and capacity
The four-door Japanese sedan "Honda Civic" has the following external dimensions: length - 4575 millimeters, width - 1755 millimeters, height - 1435 millimeters. The total ground clearance is 15 centimeters. For our roads, such clearance is not too sufficient, but given that asians have recently decided to lower their cars more and more, Civic is one of the highest passenger cars made in Japan. As for the boot volume, 440 liters is enough for distant family trips to the sea or just trips to nature.
Interior
The inside of the car has a lot of free space. In addition, the interior surprises with the very original design of the front panel. Here we can see an unusual instrument panel, divided into two tiers, each of which informs the driver about speed, engine speed, remaining fuel and other data.
In more advanced trim levels, buyers are offered an electric adjustment of the front driver's seat, as well as leather upholstery. The quality of the finishing materials is commendable. Ergonomics and ease of use of keys on the center console there are no serious objections.
The steering wheel is pleasantly surprised by the presence of small remote control buttons. Here, the driver can control, without taking off the road, systems such as cruise control or Bluetooth, as well as an on-board computer.
The steering wheel itself is decorated with a V-shaped insert made in the style of aluminum. Despite the fact that the interior is mainly dominated by dark tones (as in the photo), the interior does not seem scary or dull - on the contrary, it looks very cozy and modern. Regardless of the configuration, the car is equipped with a large liquid crystal multimedia display, which can also act as a navigator. In general, the interior of the Japanese sedan is made with high quality, solid and tasteful - after all, a two-tier panel makes it unique on our roads.
Honda Civic 4D - specifications
Unfortunately, the Honda Civic, supplied to the Russian market, will not have such an extensive line of engines as we would like. Regardless of the configuration, the machine is equipped with one power unit with a capacity of 141 horsepower and a working volume of 1.8 liters. Fortunately, there is a choice among the transmissions. The buyer can choose either a 6-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The latter provides for the "sport" mode, that is, if desired, the car enthusiast can shift gears, like on a manual gearbox.
According to the manufacturer, the gearbox installed on the Honda is equipped with additional directional stability systems, as well as a system of assistance when starting uphill.
Fuel consumption
In addition, it is impossible not to mention the economical "appetite" of the machine. So, with a manual gearbox, the car consumes about 8.7 liters in the city and 5.5 liters on the highway per 100 kilometers.
With automatic transmission, things are less optimistic, but still within reason. So, for 100 kilometers of the track “Honda” with automatic transmission consumes from 6.7 liters on the highway to 9.5 liters in the city.
Honda Civic 4D - overclocking performance
Honda Civic is a very dynamic car, and it is easy to see. So, with 140 “horses” under the hood, the car accelerates up to two hundred kilometers per hour. In this case, acceleration to hundreds with a manual transmission is estimated at 9.1 seconds. In automatic transmission, this figure is slightly different - 10.8 seconds. Tuning the Honda Civic 4D in terms of engine refinement is not required exactly.
How does the Honda Civic behave on the road?
According to the results of test drives, this car has many advantages over its "classmates." So, on the highway, the sedan is characterized by high smoothness, maneuverability and a well-functioning suspension. The machine responds perfectly to irregularities. True, the passability of the “Civic” is very limited - the low location of the bumpers and the low clearance make it inapplicable for driving on unpaved or heavily broken asphalt roads. Still, do not forget that the Honda Civic 4D is an asphalt car, not an all-wheel drive SUV. And, as for its class, it has very good characteristics in terms of comfort and ride.
Prices and specifications
On the Russian market, Honda Civic is offered in three trim levels, among which are:
- Elegance.
- Lifestyle.
- "Exclusive."
The cost of the basic configuration "Elegance" starts at 779 thousand rubles. The Lifestyle version is available to motorists at a price of 839 thousand rubles. At the same time, the client can choose a modification with an automatic transmission (though the cost for it will already be 869 thousand). There is no automatic transmission in the “base” - you have to be content with only a six-speed “mechanics”.
As for the top "Exclusive", it will be available at a price of 939 thousand rubles. Yes, almost 1 million rubles for such a car is a considerable amount, but the build quality and comfort of the car more than justifies this cost. By the way, the choice of transmissions here is also small - only one automatic transmission.
Regardless of the configuration, the car is already equipped with a central lock, ABS, EBD systems, an immobilizer and several airbags. Remote control buttons on the steering wheel will also be present in all versions of the Honda Civic 4D sedan.
