Ceiling horizontal bar - a device for sports, which is available to almost everyone. Such a simulator can be purchased in a specialized store or made independently. The device will allow you to perform daily exercises to maintain the body in shape at home.
Varieties of horizontal bars for home
At the moment, there are many varieties of ceiling horizontal bars. Thanks to a wide range, everyone can choose the perfect simulator for themselves. The horizontal bar can be:
- Wall. This design is fixed with anchor bolts on the wall. When choosing such a simulator, special attention is paid not only to the permissible load, but also to the length of the shoulder, and the distance from the wall surface to the crossbar.
- Spacer. Such a horizontal bar is installed in doorways. Installing such a simulator does not cause much difficulty. However, after dismantling the structure, holes remain in the doorposts .
- Spacer between the walls. A simulator of this type is installed in narrow aisles. Anchor bolts are used for fixing.
- Hinged. The simulator is mounted on the Swedish wall or other sports equipment.
If the weak walls
If the house has weak walls, then you can install a ceiling horizontal bar. Concrete or gypsum partitions are not able to withstand heavy loads during intensive occupations. As a result, such walls can simply crack. Ceiling horizontal bar is not suitable only for those who have a stretch ceiling or a structure made of drywall.
What you need to install
Ceiling horizontal bars for the house is an ideal solution for those with thin walls. What will be required to install the structure? List of tools and hardware:
- Drill with appropriate diameter.
- Hammer drill.
- Anchor bolts with a diameter of 10 to 12 mm.
- Nut and wrench.
- Hammer.
If necessary, the design can be installed independently. It should be noted that this process requires certain skills and accuracy. You need to install the wall-ceiling horizontal bar correctly.
Installation process
First of all, it is necessary to determine the place of installation of the structure. It should be convenient for classes. Do not place the horizontal bar near interior items. With intensive training, you can break something.
The simulator should be hung up to a height of not more than 2.2 meters from the floor. The structure should be located at a distance of 35 to 40 centimeters from the ceiling surface. The length of the crossbar should be one and a half meters.
To begin with, holes should be made in the ceiling using a punch. It is worth considering that in concrete floors there are voids, as well as reinforcing elements. Itβs better not to get into them. If this happened, then you should drill a new hole.
To fix the simulator, 4 anchor hardware is required. It is such fasteners that are designed for mounting structures on a surface of stone, brick and concrete. Anchor bolts can withstand quite large loads.
The use of chemical anchors
Remains with the help of hardware and nuts should fix the ceiling horizontal bar. If you wish, you can fix the simulator with chemical anchors. For this, the finished holes should be filled in two-thirds with a special composition. In this case, it is worth using a polymer resin or epoxy glue. After a day, when the composition hardens, you can fix the ceiling horizontal bar with nuts.
Using mechanical anchor bolts
If the structure is fastened using mechanical anchor hardware, then there is no need to use a special adhesive. The principle of fixation for such bolts is completely different than for chemical ones. Reliable fixation is achieved due to wedging inside the hole of the hardware sleeve.
To install the structure, drill holes of the required diameter, and then clean them. Insert the anchor bolt through the part that is mounted on the ceiling. You need to hammer the hardware until the nut located on its end rests against the fixed part of the horizontal bar. In this case, be careful. The second end of the anchor, falling into concrete or brick, will spread. Thanks to this, the simulator is securely fixed. In this way, you can fix the horizontal reinforced ceiling bar.
