Roll with tuna: interesting recipes and tips from professionals

Rolls are products by which most of the population of different countries knows about the national Japanese and Korean cuisine. Few people know how to cook them correctly, but almost everyone knows what this unusual dish should look like. As a rule, this is a thin roll, which consists of three components:

  1. Wrap the mat in cling film.
  2. Lay a sheet of nori on it. At the same time, its smooth side should be at the bottom.
  3. After dipping your fingers in a container of water, lay out the rice and distribute it so that only a part of the 1-cm sheet remains free.
  4. Cut a slice from the fillet and put it in the middle. It is better to cut tuna with cubes, each face of which is no more than 1 cm.
  5. Move the structure to the edge of the mat and carefully roll it into a roll.
  6. Place the finished roll on a cutting board and with a sharp knife dipped in water, cut it into 6 identical parts.

When serving, such a dish is usually decorated with wasabi and ginger.

Of particular note is the nutritional value of this dish. Tuna roll can be called dietary, since 100 g of the product contains only 131.9 kcal. At the same time, due to fish, it is rich in proteins, trace elements, vitamins and fatty acids useful for humans.

Rice, being a source of carbohydrates, is considered quite difficult to digest food. Therefore, such a dish should not be eaten at night, so as not to create unnecessary problems for your body. But the main danger lies elsewhere.

The filling for this type of rolls is fresh tuna fish. As you know, classic sushi does not go through heat treatment. Therefore, raw fish in such a dish is considered the most dangerous component. It is a source of possible infection with parasites (round and tapeworms). And the pollution of ocean waters growing every year makes this danger more serious.

In addition, do not forget about nori algae, which contain an increased amount of iodine. This can negatively affect your health. That is why doctors do not recommend eating sushi and rolls more than once a month.

Mixed filling

How else can I cook tuna rolls ? A recipe that uses vegetables is considered one of the easiest options with mixed fillings. For work, you need the following ingredients:

  • 200 g of rice has the same amount of fresh cucumber;
  • 120 g of salted tuna;
  • 30 ml rice vinegar;
  • 4 leaves of nori seaweed;
  • 20 g of tobiko caviar (flying fish).

The cooking technology is extremely simple:

  1. First you need to boil rice. This must be done strictly according to the technology indicated on each package.
  2. Add vinegar to the finished product.
  3. Wash the cucumbers and cut the fish fillets with neat thin sticks together with the fish fillet.
  4. On the table spread β€œmakisa” (mat for rolls), covered with cling film.
  5. Lay a sheet of nori on it.
  6. Gently spread rice on it, not reaching the edge on one side by about a centimeter.
  7. Put a cucumber in the middle, and next to it a piece of tuna.
  8. Twist the sausage products, wrapping the roll away from you.
  9. First cut the workpiece in half, and then each piece into another 3 or 4 parts.

A mandatory addition to such a dish will be tobiko caviar, which must be laid on the edge of the plate.

Unusual recipe

In a similar way canned tuna rolls are prepared. For work, the same devices are required (mat, bowl with water and a knife). But the set of products in this case needs a slightly different one:

  • 500 g of special rice;
  • 2 medium-sized carrots;
  • 2 sheets of nori;
  • a can of canned tuna (200 g);
  • a couple of tablespoons of rice vinegar.

  1. Cook rice At the same time, it does not need to be salted in any case.
  2. Boil the carrots. After that, it must be cleaned and cut along the usual straws.
  3. Open a can of canned food and drain the juice from it.
