The release of the new Toyota Corolla 2013, the first photos of which could be viewed on the Internet in January, is planned to be established by the end of 2013. The Japanese company Toyota has already submitted information about the presentation of a new generation car in the month of November in Los Angeles.
The plans to release a car novelty in three versions: L, LE and S. The design of the new Corolla is gaining more dynamics and aggression compared to previous models, for example, the headlights of the new car have become narrower, the body lines are sharpened, and the grille on the radiator has acquired shaped, which merges with the sharp corners of the headlights, which is quite far from the prototype. Now, with a redefined outline, the new Corolla 2013 recalls Auris, which, as noted, is very good, given that the concept had great similarities with its direct competitor, Honda Civic.
In addition, you can trace the continuity of the new car of the series with the concept of the Furia sports type, which was presented as a prototype Toyota Corolla in the month of January in Detroit at the auto show. Especially good is the similarity in the design decision of the rear of the car. The dimensions of the new Toyota Corolla have not yet been announced, but it is possible to compare the parameters of Furia and it will be seen that it is somewhat longer, wider, but slightly lower than the Corolla.
Toyota Corolla: specifications
As it became known, the basic version of the Toyota Corolla car will be equipped with 15-inch steel wheels, the audio system will have four speakers, in addition, the car will be equipped with air conditioning, multi-information display, as well as folding mirrors. The wheelbase has been increased by 10 cm and the remaining 27 cm can now provide quite tangible space in the cabin itself.
According to representatives of the Japanese auto giant, the new Corolla will have improved characteristics. It is planned to equip three types of engines at once, namely it is planned diesel, gasoline and hybrid. The power of gasoline engines will be 1.5 l - 109 hp, the most powerful of them will be 1.8 l - 140 hp
Information regarding the future power of the hybrid type of engine is not yet being disseminated, but it was possible to find out that in the absence of gasoline, the new Corolla 2013 will presumably be able to drive a distance of 50 to 70 km, which will directly depend on the terrain. At the same time, fuel consumption in this car model will remain as acceptable as in the previous ones.
In addition to these characteristics, the new Corolla 2013 will also be equipped with an advanced safety system, which will significantly increase the ease of operation of the machine. For this, an automatic lane-tracking system will be used.
Reportedly, Toyota Corolla’s new car in the American car market will be available closer to the end of this year, and no information has been received on upcoming car sales in Europe. The approximately new Corolla 2013 will appear on the world market in 2014. The approximate cost of the car with its basic configuration will be about 17 thousand US dollars.
