Saratov Regional Philharmonic named after Schnittke

Saratov Regional Philharmonic opened in 1937. In 1946, a symphony orchestra was founded at its base, which became famous throughout the country and became known even in Europe. The team has more than once become the prize winner and laureate of various festivals and competitions of the All-Union, All-Russian and international levels.

In 1991, the Volga Band brass band was founded. In 2005, he was recognized as the best at the festival in Corfu.

Today, the Philharmonic Society has eight professional teams working at the highest level and in various fields. All of them repeatedly won competitions, which confirms their skills.

The Philharmonic not only holds concerts with the participation of its artists, but also often hosts guest performances, including celebrities, on its stage. In addition, contests are held here and various large-scale projects are being implemented. Some of the most famous are the Neyhaus Festivals and the “Knushevitsky Offering”. The Philharmonic is also the organizer and participant of numerous cultural events, including large-scale ones. Among them: “Bravissimo”, “In an ensemble with an organ”, “Beaumond”, “In the homeland of I. Ya. Panitsky”.

In 2012, the Philharmonic Society celebrated its anniversary (75 years). Each team working here in honor of such an event presented its own program. The celebration in Moscow ended. The Saratov Symphony Orchestra performed in the capital with a concert in the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Hall.

Collectives: “Balagan” (folk music ensemble), “Trio-Sonata” (ancient music ensemble), “Mango-express” (pop-jazz ensemble), symphony orchestra, “Papa Carlo dolls” (theater), Volga Band (brass band) and others.

Children's Studios

Saratov Philharmonic invites girls and boys to become real artists. For them, the pop studio "Orange" works here. It opened in 2004. Here young artists learn to sing and dance, play musical performances. The performances are designed both for spectators, children, and for their mothers, fathers, grandfathers and grandmothers. Performances of "Orange" are interesting to everyone. The guys who are engaged in the studio regularly participate in various festivals of children's creativity. In 2007, 2012, 2013, young artists became winners of competitions held in Yaroslavl, Veliky Ustyug and St. Petersburg (“Musical Spring for Children”, “Holiday of Childhood” and “Winter's Tale”).

Artistic director

Saratov Regional Philharmonic

Since 2014, the Saratov Philharmonic has been living under the direction of Emmanuel Leduc-Barom. This talented conductor was born in 1971 in France. He studied at three conservatories. Emmanuel began to receive education in the city of Lyon (France), continued in Geneva (Switzerland), completed in St. Petersburg. The internship took place in Amsterdam and at the Helsinki Academy of Sibelius.

Emmanuel began his career at the Kaliningrad Philharmonic, where for three years he was a conductor of a chamber orchestra. In 2001, the maestro was awarded a prize from the French Association, designed to facilitate cultural relations. In 2007, E. Leduc-Barom made his debut in Rio de Janeiro and the United States. In 2014, the maestro became both the chief conductor and artistic director of the A. Schnittke Saratov Philharmonic.
