In 2003, BMW demonstrated the new generation of the fifth BMW series. The updated body was called the BMW 530 E60, becoming one of the main competitors of the Mercedes E-class W211 released a year earlier. German engineers, despite the restyling, retained the main feature of the GT - a double tailgate: access to it can be obtained only after the lower half of the lid is opened. If you lift the entire door, the process of loading large items and changing the layout of the compartment is greatly simplified. Since the rear row seats are made in proportions of 40:20:40 and each of their parts is freely adjustable and reclines, there are plenty of options for transforming the trunk of the BMW 530 GT. Such versatility is largely determined by the fact that the car model is a comfortable hatchback designed for travel. A high level of comfort GT, especially in comparison with other models of the fifth series, is achieved due to the changed suspension settings and a spacious interior.
