Which one to choose?

Such elements of landscape design can play an exclusively decorative role, and can carry some kind of functional load. It all depends on their design features and purpose. The simplest mill for the garden (it’s not difficult to do it with your own hands) will perfectly mask some flaws in the landscape and reliably hide all pitfalls from prying eyes: protruding pipes, sewer manholes , etc. Such mills can be very modest in size, often their height does not exceed half a meter . And more dimensional elements can be successfully used to mask a street toilet, an old barn and other plain garden buildings.

A decorative mill for the garden, built with your own hands, can have more impressive dimensions. Sometimes the area of these elements allows you to create a cozy gazebo or change house inside the structure for storing garden tools. True, the construction of such buildings is a very laborious task and requires some skills in working with building material.

Another type of buildings is a water decorative mill for the garden. With your own hands, anyone can build such a structure. It is best to install such elements near an existing reservoir in the area: natural or artificial. Near the water mill you can organize a great place to relax: after a hard day it will be very pleasant to watch how water jets, rolling along the blades of the mill, slide into the pond.

DIY garden mill

To build such an original element to decorate your suburban area, you do not need to make much effort and buy expensive materials. An ordinary mill has a very simple design, and you can build it from improvised means. With a minimum of costs, you will get an excellent mill for the garden, which will serve as a magnificent decoration of your territory.

At the selected site, you need to dig a hole with a depth of at least 25 centimeters. The bottom of the foundation should be laid out with broken bricks and poured with cement mortar. Then you need to make the frame of the future structure. For this, you can use any cone-shaped objects: old buckets, basins, etc. The base of the mill can be made from old car tires. A small hole should be drilled in the upper part of the frame - here the wings of the structure will be installed in the future. The case must be thoroughly coated with concrete mortar and covered with decorative stones or paving slab remains. After that, the wooden wings of the mill are installed in the prepared hole. They should be painted in advance and thoroughly dried.

This example can be taken as the basis for the manufacture of such structures. And their sizes, shapes and materials can be very different - it all depends on your tastes and wishes.
