Turning to the lashmeiker to improve the appearance, you can count on several types of eyelash extensions. This is a classic ciliary extension, 2D, 3D and Hollywood volume. What is the difference between these types of eyelash extensions? 3D, 2D - what does this mean for ordinary people, not professionals of lashmeyking, and which option is best to choose to look irresistible? In addition, it is important not to spoil the eyelashes with artificial material. Will the 3D volume harm the beauty of the eyes after removing artificial cilia? We will discuss this topic in this post.
From classic to 3D
If you go back to the origins of eyelash extensions, the first method that the masters mastered was beam extension. It is on beam extension that 3D eyelash extension training is based. 10 years ago there were no professional lashmakers, and artificial materials were attached to their own before any event or photo shoot.
From such an image, spectacularity was required, and not long wearing - eyelashes were removed immediately after the event. However, at the same time, it was noticed that if you do not remove artificial eyelashes, then they can be worn for more than one day.
How did the buildup happen?
A ready-made bundle of artificial eyelashes was taken, and with the help of glue he clung to several of the client's own cilia at the base from above. This method is not very good, as it creates unnecessary pressure on your own eyelashes, it does not wear very long (1-2 weeks, if there is no interaction with water or other solvents), and if at least one bundle falls off before the others, then the eyelid will look like this as if there was a βbald spotβ on it.
Over time, this method evolved into another technology of ciliary extension, that is, it was attached to an artificial blank on a real one. Masters who decided to do eyelash extensions became known as lashmakers. Eyelash extension has become a kind of profession. There were a lot of people wishing to purchase long eyelashes for a month and a half, especially in large cities. After all, here a spectacular appearance is of great importance.
To understand the difference between 2D and 3D eyelash extensions, you first need to figure out what a classic cilia eyelash extension is, as it was the start for the emergence of new trends in lashmeyking.
Cilia to cilia
In any direction of art, fashion or makeup there is the so-called classic. This is something that will always remain trendy and appropriate in any case. If you take fashion, then this is a small black dress, classic pointed-toe stilettos. If we talk about makeup, no matter how era and tendency change, black arrows and lipstick of an appropriate shade will be considered classic.
Back to the topic of eyelash extensions. Ciliary augmentation is a classic. This procedure occurs as follows. An additional eyelash consisting of synthetic fiber or animal fur is attached to each eyelash of the client with special glue.
The effect is very neat, and others will not have a sense of unnaturalness or puppetry. That is why the ciliary building is considered a classic, he is trained as a beginner lashmaker. Subsequent trends of eyelash extension fashion, such as 2D and 3D, are in any case based on eyelash extensions. If you set yourself the goal of becoming a lashmaker, it is from him that your training in this modern profession will begin.
Main difference
Over time, the classics began to seem boring to the masters, moreover, not spectacular enough for some events. Lashmakers decided to experiment with volume and make it bigger. Volume is translated into English as dimension, and therefore 2D means double volume, and 3D is, respectively, triple.
However, the masters did not stop at volumes 2 and 3 - they can offer you 4-, 5- and 6-volume extensions. True, by what technologies such a procedure is carried out is a moot point. Perform the extension of 6 artificial eyelashes on one of your own is impossible purely technically.
What is the essence of volume building?
If in the eyelash extension one artificial is attached to each of its own, then in 2D two blanks are glued to each eyelash, respectively, a triple volume involves the attachment of three cilia. If we talk about eyelash extensions 2D and 3D, the only difference is this.
Eyelashes that have been extended in this way look chic, but unnatural. If during an eyelash extension, an outside observer can decide that nature simply awarded the girl with such stunning eyelashes, then the double and triple volume of such intrigue does not create.
The harm caused by eyelash extensions: classic and 2D
Both 3D and 2D differ from the classic extension in that they do less harm to their own eyelashes. Why? It is clear that the additional weight of artificial fibers weakens the strength of their own eyelashes, and sometimes breaks them off. After removal, your own look more rare and shorter than before building.
With volumetric technique, you can make extensions through one eyelash. Due to the fact that there are a lot of them, you can skip your own eyelashes of the client through one or two. This extension is more useful for eyelashes and their beauty afterwards.
However, the masters argue that even if 2-3 eyelashes are glued onto each own eyelash in the right way, without weighting with glue, then the eyelashes will not be much harmed.
Which eyelashes to choose? Material quality
The extension of 3D eyelashes, the effect of which is comparable to that of a puppet, requires a careful selection of materials. The first question that beginner lashmakers ask themselves is what lashes do you need to get to work?
The domestic market offers us synthetic fibers, that is, from the finest plastic, and natural ones - most often from mink or silk fur. The latter differ not only in a pleasant texture, but also in a more natural appearance. It was the extended mink eyelashes that were first brought to the audience by actress Jennifer Lopez in 2005.
However, the price of natural ones is higher than artificial ones, about 10-15 times. Of course, the consumption of the product is quite small, but is it worth paying more?
First of all, keep in mind that eyelash extension in 3D-volume, requires, first of all, subtlety from cilia and low density. Mink fur is thicker than specially designed cilia. The second reason why you should choose an artificial product is that girls can be allergic to natural mink fur, unlike artificial ones that are hypoallergenic.
3D Eyelash Thickness
The task of the lashmaker is to create volumetric extensions so as not to burden the eyelids of the client, but also to ensure that the cilia are freely combed in any direction. For this reason, for the extension of 3D lashes, you need to choose the minimum density of the material. That is, the synthetic material should be as thin as possible. Wizards advise choosing 0.07 for density for 3D and 0.1-0.15 for 2D building. Such eyelashes are very light and do not spoil their own.
Important: what are eyelash extensions afraid of
So, you left the salon, having acquired beautiful long cilia, extended in 3D technique. Before returning to your traditional experience in life, read carefully what artificial fibers are afraid of like fire. Agree, it is not rational to give a decent amount, to withstand the procedure for 2-3 hours, and then lose all this splendor in a day or two.
With proper wearing of eyelashes, you can extend the period of "operation" to one and a half months. At the same time, if you violate basic rules, you can lose up to 50% of eyelashes over night. The first thing to remember is that the artificial eyelashes, and in particular the glue with which they are attached, is afraid of oil and any oil-containing solutions. Thus, you need to abandon any makeup products or to remove it containing this ingredient.
Do not sleep face in the pillow!
Eyelashes glued with special glue hold rather tightly. However, after spending the night, burying your face in the downy feather bed, in the morning you may find that most of the cilia have fallen off.
The second thing to worry about if you have eyelash extensions is that you should not go to baths and saunas. Hot steam and high temperatures destroy the molecular bond of the adhesive.
Are eyelashes afraid of water? No, you can gently wash your face with plain or micellar water - the artificial splendor will not fall off. However, do not cry, since salt also acts destructively on the glue. For the same reason, do not dive headlong into the sea or into another body of water. This will allow you to remain beautiful for a long time.
