Do not confuse the hero of our article with a wedding cake with hares. There the shape of the confectionery is classic - in the form of a multi-tiered tower. Only instead of young figures at the top of the pyramid are a mastic hare in a tuxedo and a hare in a white dress and veil.

The easiest way to work with a biscuit. Such cakes are easily cut, they can be given any shape, which is very important for embossed cakes. And the baby can serve as an additional "building material" to fill the voids and cracks, decor fragments.

The secret of the biscuit test is simple: all foods should be at the same room temperature.

1. Beat four eggs with a mixer with a glass of sugar so that the mass doubles.

2. Sift the flour into a bowl. Add baking powder. A glass of flour will require a teaspoon of cookie powder.

3. The loose mixture is carefully introduced into the egg, continuing to beat (if necessary, change the nozzle of the mixer). Pour three tablespoons of boiling water and the same amount of vegetable oil.

4. At this stage, add vanillin, grated lemon zest, condensed milk and other flavors of your choice. The dough should not be very cool, but not liquid.

Step two: baking cakes

If you want to create a little white animal, double the amount of ingredients. There is a Chocolate Bunny recipe. According to him, cakes should be brown.

Nothing is simpler: just add three tablespoons of cocoa to the flour with baking powder. The remaining ingredients remain the same and in the same proportions. You can bake one white cake, and the second - chocolate.

The oven should already be well preheated. The optimum temperature will be 180 degrees. Lubricate the round shape (preferably split) with margarine. Its diameter is 20 centimeters. Pour white dough.

With a biscuit you need to be very careful. You can’t open the oven door for the first quarter of an hour, otherwise the dough will fall. The readiness of the cakes after 30-40 minutes (it depends on your oven) is checked using a matchstick or a toothpick.

Turn the shape upside down. Cakes should not be worn out. Cool it completely. During this time, bake the second cake (white or brown).

Step Three: Pattern

Yes, yes, do not be surprised. With relief cakes, you need to work according to patterns similar to a pattern of clothes. When both biscuits are completely cooled, cut them into four longitudinal cake.

We leave one of them whole. From the second cake we cut a narrow arc. We cut it in half. Now we have rabbit ears.

The third cake is more thorough. We leave a round center, from which later we will create the face of the animal. From the rest, cut the front legs and cheeks.

And finally, the fourth cake, or rather, its round center, will be the back of a hare. We will add the cake later, when we make the impregnation, the layer and the cream.

To prevent fragments of the sculpture from drying out and crumbling, carefully place them in a resealable container and place in the refrigerator.

Step Four: Impregnation

We have four round cakes. One with a diameter of 20 centimeters, the rest - less and less. So that they are denser on each other, we need impregnation.

It can be made from simple sugar syrup. You can replace it with a purchased one, with the taste of caramel or berries. You can add coffee, cognac and other aromatic fillers to sugar syrup.

Here, the Hare cake recipe does not provide any restrictions. How to make syrup? Pour a glass of sugar into the pan. Fill with 70 milliliters of water.

We put it on the fire and stir, slightly bringing to a boil. In the cooled syrup, you can add fruit juices, coffee, alcohol and other flavors.

Step Five: Interlayer

Cakes, which make up the body of the animal, can be smeared with the same cream, which will be used to hold the head and other fragments together. But if you plan to create a decor of the Hare cake from mastic, you need to prepare a separate layer.

It can be any, most importantly, to firmly fasten the cakes. Since hare cake is often served at the children's table, condensed milk cream can be offered. A layer of chocolate with cherries will be equally enthusiastically received.

The cream or curd cream holds the cakes well together. You can use meringues, meringues, pralines. If the biscuit comes out a little dry, we get out of the situation, smearing them with custard.

We take a flat dish, put an untouched round cake on it. Lubricate with cream. We put on it the cake, the diameter of which as a result of trimming the "ears" is slightly smaller.

We place it so that the missing link creates space for the installation of the head of the animal. When the bunny sits, his back is hunchbacked. We create it by placing cakes one above the other. Do not forget to coat them with cream. We put the hind legs to the sides. Set the tail. On the back of the Hare cake, place the front paws. We set the head on them.

We fasten all the fragments with a cream mixed with biscuit crumbs. Difficulties can bring the ears of the animal. If we set them upside down, there is a risk that the part will fall. So let's make a bunny with cuddled ears.

By the way, if you are preparing a cake for a children's holiday, it is not necessary to strive for realism in creating sculptures. You can make a cartoon bunny lying on its back tummy up. In a word, it all depends on your imagination and modeling skills.

The final stage: the decor of the cake "Hare"

Do not be upset that the cakes lying in front of you are very vaguely reminiscent of a furry animal. Now we will clothe our sculpture in snow-white wool.

In an iron bowl, strain two egg whites. Mix them with half a glass of powdered sugar.

Set the bowl in a water bath and beat the contents with a mixer. With a fork, we put the mass on the hare, trying to make it lay not smoothly, but clumping like wool. We make the nose and eyes of the animal out of chocolate droplets.

Mastic decor

We have already examined how to create and decorate the Hare cake with cream. But if you are better at drawing, rather than sculpting, you can apply mastic to the decor.

We take the most ordinary cake - round, made of cake with any cream. With a hot knife, align the sides and top, achieving a smooth surface.

Marshmallow (preferably larger), heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. Add the icing sugar and knead the mastic “dough”.

We roll it into a thin layer, cover the cake so as to capture not only the top of the product, but also all the sides. We fold the folds with an iron.

The surface of the cake should be absolutely smooth. We take a drawing of a hare. We prepare food colors.

Cut out fragments of a bunny. Coloring the mastic in the desired color, we create the details according to the stencil and put it on the cake in the form of an application.
