Magnetic paint composition
Despite the name, this wall covering has nothing to do with magnets. This dye owes its ferromagnetic properties to the ability to loop magnetic lines, but cannot generate them on its own. The composition can only be iron filings. It is these filings that later attract magnets to themselves.
Such paint is absolutely safe for human health. The smell also does not feel.
Application features
Magnetic paint can turn any surface into a magnetic board. This wall covering does not have other properties. After all, even the color palette is too limited. Magnetic paint for walls, which is presented on the modern construction market, is limited only to a dark gray shade. However, the solution to this problem is quite simple. In order to arrange a magnetic board, which will fit into the general concept of the interior, it is enough to perform another decorative layer in the color you need. It is best to use water-soluble paint for this purpose, but no more than two layers. Otherwise, magnetic paint will lose its properties.
Dyes of this type can also be used as an independent coating. It is recommended to apply them on a smooth surface, the material is not important. It can be both concrete and plaster.

Magnetic paint can be used without the involvement of specialists. To do this, just follow the simple instructions:
- Surface preparation. This step involves removing the old coating. You can use a wash, a spatula, grinding materials. Grease stains are removed with special solvents.
- Paint preparation. To do this, follow the instructions from the manufacturer, which is located on the packaging of the paint.
- Application of paint to the surface. First of all, you need to take care of creating the right climatic conditions, namely: the absence of draft, the air temperature in the range of +10 ... + 35 , humidity from 15% to 85%. For paint application, a roller is recommended. Three layers should be applied to the surface, between the applications of which should be drying. Its magnetic properties completely depend on the thickness of the layer: the larger the thickness, the higher the ability to attract magnets. All streaks are leveled with a spatula.
At the end, you can apply a decorative coating, but no earlier than 6 hours.
