The countries of the post-Soviet space for the most part are not small in size and in the number of permanent residents. Belarus was no exception in this matter , the area of which by no means can be considered insignificant. The Republic of Belarus is located on the European continent, in its eastern part. Its immediate neighbors are Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland. About 20,000 rivers stretch across the territory of the republic, 93% of which are considered small (the length of each of them does not exceed 10 kilometers) and 11,000 lakes. Studying the cities of Belarus by area, we note that the capital of the state is Minsk, which, in turn, is the largest settlement (its size is 348.84 sq. Km).
In the second position is the hero city of Brest with an area of just over 146 square meters. km
The third position was "staked out" by the city in the name of Grodno (142 sq. Km.). Then follow Gomel, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Bobruisk.
Moreover, only the capital is a city in which the number of permanent residents exceeded one million people, while the next Gomel gave shelter to only half a million inhabitants.

Belarus, whose area is very closely guarded by the border service, is a rather hospitable country for residents of the states of the former Soviet Union. These citizens are not required to apply for a visa. And it is enough to have a passport of a citizen of your country. For those people who plan to enter the republic in their own car, the presence of the so-called Green Card is required.
As for the import of foreign currency, it can be imported into Belarus in absolutely any quantity, however, the amount of more than 10,000 US dollars must be declared in order to avoid possible problems with the law. If your favorite animal is traveling with you, you will certainly get a written permission from the veterinarian and phytosanitary representatives.
Demographic situation
Today, almost 9.5 million people permanently live in Belarus. According to experts, the outcome of 2016 will not be too comforting for the country, since it is expected that the natural population growth will have a minus value and will be in the range of 23,367 people. But at the same time, more people are supposed to enter the republic for permanent residence than emigrating abroad.
According to the UN Statistics Department, the area of Belarus is 207,600 square meters. km, taking into account the number of people living in this territory, the population density is 45.8 people per square kilometer.
The total demographic burden in Belarus is 39.4%, which is a very low value, because it reflects a situation of a positive relationship between the number of able-bodied people and the number of disabled. That is, the burden for society in the country is minimal.
Communication in the Republic
Belarus (population, area mentioned above) has three main mobile operators, including MTS, Velcom and Life :). Buying a SIM card of any of these representatives of the world of mobile communications will require a person to have a passport with him. It is worth noting the highest quality of communication, calls can be made almost everywhere (the only exception is impassable sections of forests). All Belarus, the area of which cannot be called small, is a safe country. In many respects, this is simply explained by the enormous amount of police, although some explain this fact by the national characteristics of Belarusians - well-mannered and calm. But be that as it may, it is safe to say that you can safely walk through the cities of the republic until late at night, without at all worrying that someone will attack you with the aim of robbing.

Health facilities in Belarus are very popular places in the tourist environment. Of course, many of the working sanatoriums do not differ in cheapness or modernity, but all of them effectively fulfill the functions assigned to them.
