2. You cannot independently change the design of the bracket, for example, drill additional holes in it. So you reduce the margin of safety, possibly to a critical level and damage the protective coating.
3. The mount must match the weight of the air conditioner.
4. The bracket must only be fastened with quality bolts.
5. In no case should you use home-made brackets or mounts that do not have certification.
After all the units of the split system are installed, it is necessary to check the reliability of the fasteners. When turned on, there should be no loosening or vibration.
The main types of brackets
Brackets for air conditioning can be structurally divided into three main types:
- welded corners (strength of the welded joint 90-95% of the strength of the base metal);
- corners connected by a threaded fastener;
- universal mount with horizontal bar.
The most common are welding brackets. They are easy to manufacture, and they have a relatively low cost. However, the welded brackets for the air conditioner also have their drawbacks: the weld area is susceptible to corrosion, possible twisting due to the absence of additional stiffeners and the complexity of transportation.
Universal mounts and mountings with a threaded connection do not have the disadvantages of welded corners, but their cost is higher.
There are still stands for the outdoor unit. They are used in cases where the unit is mounted on the roof of the building.

The cost of a set of brackets will depend on its type, type of anticorrosion coating and its dimensions, which directly affect the carrying capacity. The carrying capacity of this design is 40-60 kg, the maximum permissible load is 100-120 kg. Set of welded corners and fasteners with a loading capacity of 100-110 kg and a maximum permissible load of up to 250 kg. It costs 700-1200 rubles. The cost of the stand for the outdoor unit is about 2,000 rubles.
