And if before doctors, engineers, and teachers were held in high esteem, now they are increasingly giving way to more prestigious and monetary specialties - for example, marketing. We talk about who marketing people are, what they do, and where in the capital of our immense homeland we can enter the marketing department.
What is marketing?
Before telling which metropolitan universities offer the opportunity to learn such a profession, you need to thoroughly understand what, in fact, is such a beast - marketing. As you might guess, this word is by no means of Slavic origin, but came to our language from English, which literally means “market activity”. About this is what a marketing specialist is engaged in - the subject of his activity is meeting the needs of customers in order to extract financial benefits. It may seem to some that this is a simple matter - and what, in fact, is a whole science? However, this is not entirely true, because marketing, in fact, is a whole art: you need to be able to choose the right target audience, interest it (for which it is necessary to “probe” potential consumers first in order to find their weak points), maintain and increase the number of customers, and at the same time, do everything so that he, the client, that is, remains in complete and unshakable confidence: he is here the most coveted and most beloved. So good marketing needs to learn and learn!
Who can work and where
After graduating from the marketing faculty, the graduate receives a marketing specialty. You can work on it in different places, since such a specialist is required nowadays in any good company. You will have to start from the bottom: trainee or marketing assistant, but the profession provides for career growth, so with good performance it is not at all difficult to grow to the head of the marketing department - and this is far from the limit.

To become a marketer, it was never compulsory to go exclusively to the faculty of marketing. You can get a similar education in management (marketing is a subspecies of it, if I may say so), and in the Faculty of Innovation (the introduction of new developments), and in trade, and even in sociology. Currently, it is marketing as a separate faculty that is absent in the institutes - now you need to choose from other faculties (which are listed above). The main Moscow - and perhaps Russian - university offers those wishing to try themselves in the field of marketing to enter the sociological faculty. Especially for everyone who wants to get acquainted with all the components of the marketing profession, this department has a management area with a Marketing training profile. You can study there exclusively in person, for 325 thousand rubles - budget places, unfortunately, are not provided.
The curriculum of classes includes such disciplines as marketing analytics, analytical methods, marketing technologies, market analysis, information systems, industry marketing and so on. For admission, you must pass in the form of a single exam math, Russian language and social studies.

University of Management
There is no marketing faculty at the “managerial” university, but there is its whole institute as a separate unit. There is a management area with a marketing training profile. What is good at a management university is that it is one of the first Russian universities where marketing specialists began to be trained at all. They have been doing this here since 1994! During this time, the right quality and experience have come. Also, as an advantage of the university, one can choose from two training programs - either marketing management or brand management. And an indisputable plus of this educational institution is the availability of free places - both for full-time and part-time (there is one at the university). More than two hundred and fifty full-time students can receive the desired profession without paying for training. Twenty-seven more places are for part-time students.

For admission to the University of Management, which is located on 99 Ryazansky Prospekt, to the Faculty of Management and Marketing on a budgetary form, of course, fairly high scores are required: more than 230 for full-time students, more than 220 for those who will study full-time. In the same case, if luck didn’t smile and it was not possible to go to the budget, you will need to lay out tidy sums a year - not, of course, like at Moscow State University, but still considerable: 190 thousand full-time students studying in full-time ten less.
Faculty of Marketing, REU
The REU, or Plekhanov University of Economics in Stremyanny Lane, stands apart from the list of other higher education institutions that we can voice in this category. The thing is that the Plekhanov University has a marketing faculty, unlike other universities, just the same. And taking it, in addition to the three exams listed above, also requires a foreign language - also a very significant difference. That is why the passing score in the REU is higher - as much as three hundred and twenty points.
Budget places at the faculty of marketing of REU are present - seventy-five pieces. For those who are not lucky enough to take them, the cost of training (only full-time) is two hundred eighty thousand a year. Plekhanov University is chosen because the local marketing faculty is the first one in our country, and also because there are experimental laboratories, well-known specialists from Russia and abroad come with lectures. Peoples' Friendship University
RUDN University is another Moscow university where marketing specialists are trained. And although there is no marketing faculty at this university in Moscow, there is a faculty of economics, where future marketers enter. There are only 21 budget places, but the passing score is also lower - 240 points. Peoples' Friendship University is an international university, and this is a distinctive feature of training, including in the field of marketing research. Students of this university constantly interact, including undergoing an internship, with leading world companies, including such big names as “Coca-Cola”, “Nestle”, “Adidas” and so on.
PFUR marketing students are participants in a specially created circle in which they research the market, make reports and presentations, and speak at thematic conferences. The cost of training at this faculty ranges from 99 to 219 thousand rubles, depending on the form (full-time, part-time or part-time). MGIMO
At the Institute of International Relations, which MGIMO is, there is a faculty of commercial affairs, on which the direction of marketing has long been firmly established. More precisely, the master's program, which trains specialists in one of seven areas (student's choice) - environmental services, retail goods, entrepreneurship, hospitality, sports, entertainment, and luxury.
Since this is a magistracy, you need to take only a foreign language, as well as pass an interview. We have to study on Saturdays and weekdays in the evening for two years. By the way, in the second year of study, students usually undergo internship abroad. It is logical to assume that there are no budget places. The fee for such valuable knowledge owned by undergraduates is 345 thousand rubles a year.

"Tower"
There is no marketing faculty in the HSE, or, in other words, the Higher School of Economics, which is on Myasnitskaya. But there is a faculty of social sciences where the profile "Applied Methods of Sociological Research" is open. For 280 thousand rubles a year, students can learn how to collect data and analyze them, and this information gives them an excellent opportunity to find jobs not only as analysts, but also as marketers.
Much attention is paid to the faculty of mathematical training - over five hundred hours in total. There are budget places in the HSE - as many as 90 pieces.
Mendeleev University
It would seem that this educational institution, located on the street of Heroes Panfilovtsev, has nothing to do with marketing at all - it specializes in a chemical-technological profile. However, the university has a department of logistics, and marketing is one of the areas of preparation for it, along with management and sociology. The cost of training at the Mendeleev University is not too high: 45 thousand need to be paid on part-time and part-time forms, 60 thousand rubles on full-time.
MESI
At the Institute of Economics and Statistics on Nezhinskaya, 7, there is a marketing department, training at which costs a little more than one hundred thirty thousand rubles for full-time students. The form of training there is only evening, this direction is regarded as retraining - it is something like courses, however, of course, with getting crusts on education and qualification of the marketing manager.
You will have to study only one year, during which you will need to lighten your wallet by 98 thousand rubles. Since this is retraining, no free seats are provided.
University of Commerce
The direction "marketing" is open at the Faculty of Management of the University of Commerce of the capital, which is located at 38 Bolshoy Fakelny Lane. You can study in the afternoon, evening, and generally in absentia. Upon completion, students receive a state-issued document.
Business Academy
Since the mid-nineties, a marketing department has been functioning, which is retraining courses, and at the Academy of Business of our country in Protopopovsky Lane. An interesting fact is that you can study in this direction exclusively remotely - about six hundred hours takes the entire full course. You can study for six months, but only half of the material will be mastered; it takes a year to complete the entire program. At the end of the courses, students receive a retraining diploma in marketing.
