Black Star or Star Inc. (English Black Star) is a Russian label releasing rap and hip-hop music, founded in 2006 by Timur Ildarovich Yunusov, also known as Timati. The project was named in honor of the debut album of Timati himself.
Project Artists
Initially, only the works of Timati were published on the label, however, a year after the creation of the project, Yunusov invited two performers for collaboration - BK (Boris Gabaraev) and Music Hayk (Hayk Movsisyan).
Between 2006 and 2012, the label grew, often changing artists and trying different directions in creativity and marketing, but in 2012 the situation changed dramatically when Timati invited the singers L'One and Yegor Creed to Black Star.
The label began to gain popularity in youth circles, as well as actively occupy a distinctive niche in Russian show business, which led to its rapid growth. In 2014, MC Doni was signed to Black Star, and in 2018, one of the most famous Russian pop singers, Philip Bedrosovich Kirkorov, entered into an agreement with the label.

The Black Star label is looking for talent in many cities in Russia and the CIS. Brand managers actively analyze the creativity of young and promising performers, often urging the latter to collaborate.
In October 2015, the label held the all-Russian casting “Young Blood 2015”. 2500 people from different parts of the country were admitted to the selection.
