The Japanese auto concern Mitsubishi in 2014 introduced the fifth generation of the Mitsubishi L 200 pickup truck. The new L200 appeared on the Russian automobile market only in 2015.
The updated generation not only underwent external and technical changes, but also began to be created on a completely different concept, which the manufacturer described as the Ultimate Sport Utility Truck.
Exterior
In recent years, Japanese automakers have been trying to create models with a bright, original and effective design. An exception was the Mitsubishi L 200 car with an aggressive appearance and a lot of chrome trim in the exterior.
The pickup's radiator grill is edged with a thin chrome strip with a logo in the center, on the sides of which slots resemble fangs. Headlights "Mitsubishi L 200" medium size, with one "pupil".
Just below, there is another grille with round fog lights at the edges, and the bottom has a silver underbody protection on the bumper.

For certain configurations, the dimensions are unique, in other words, only one version of the Mitsubishi L 200 - DC Invite - is different in size, while for all other modifications they are standard.

Interior
Salon "Mitsubishi L 200" looks very simple and concise, and the decoration used materials of the so-called medium quality. But by the way, the performance of the internal space is quite expected for a pickup truck, in which soft plastic would be a big surprise.
The car is controlled by a large three-spoke steering wheel with leather trim and several keys. At the wheel in a special depression there is a standard dashboard with an information display located in the center and a diagram showing the distribution of traction.
On the right side is the center console, in the upper part of which there are two air duct deflectors, between which the display of the infotainment system is located, and just below - the climate system control unit. The entire dashboard is decorated with glossy black plastic.
The interior of the new Mitsubishi L 200 is quite spacious and comfortable. The manufacturer has expanded the range of seat adjustments compared to the previous model.
Passengers will be comfortable even in the second row of seats. Among other things, behind the folding back there is a small luggage compartment, which fits a pair of bags and various small things. The car has a good level of ergonomics of the cabin, including a good level of visibility.

"Mitsubishi L 200" on the Russian market is offered only in a complete set with a two-row four-door cabin, which can comfortably accommodate a maximum of five people.
The car is equipped with a dependent spring rear suspension and an independent double wishbone front. The braking system is represented by ventilated disc front brakes and rear drum brakes. Wheels and tires are installed on the car, depending on the configuration; discs can be 16- and 17-inch.
Russian official dealers offer the next line of Mitsubishi L 200 engines, consisting of two 2.4-liter diesel units. The basic version of the engine has a capacity of 154 horsepower, more powerful - 181 horsepower.
Engines are equipped with five-speed automatic and six-speed manual gearboxes and all-wheel drive in all trim levels.

As mentioned above, for this Mitsubishi model, diesel power units are represented by two versions of the same volume. The top engine is installed only on the Instyle package.

Russian official dealers of the Japanese auto concern offer the Mitsubishi L 200 pickup in four trim levels: Intense, Invite, Invite + and Instyle. The price of a car in a new body varies from 1,800,000 to 2,400,000 rubles.

Moreover, the owners of "Mitsubishi L 200" note that this minus is eliminated by transporting on an ongoing basis ballast weighing about 100 kilograms. The second disadvantage can be called a fairly high fuel consumption: outside the city, fuel consumption can exceed 10 liters per 100 kilometers.
The pickup is characterized by incredible dynamics, which is perfectly enough in urban conditions, but there is not enough acceleration for a suburban highway. Cabin options are enough for a comfortable long trip.
Test Drive
Experts who conducted test drives of the new Mitsubishi pickup truck noted the high quality and reliability of the rear springs that damp out unnecessary vibrations even in the absence of any load in the car. In terms of comfort, the car significantly outperforms most of its competitors.
The engine is very dynamic and very "traction": its power is enough for confident movement in almost any conditions, but the L200 can not boast of high speeds, so it is better to choose another car for racing along the tracks.
