In modern Russian culture, rap music is by no means a central place. These are tunes for amateurs, usually accompanied by poems about life that do not sing but “read” (recite in a special manner). The Triad group is one of the well-known musical groups that create in this genre.
The beginning of time
In 1997, one of the founders of today's legendary group Vova moved to Krasnodar, wanting to get an education and create his own group. At that time, our hero was only 15 years old and had nothing but the legendary wide pants.
He finds his first fellow student at the university. The reason for acquaintance and subsequent friendship was a T-shirt with a House of Pain print. The new acquaintance was called Victor, aka Mowgli. The decision to create a group came almost immediately, the team was named Triple V, the first texts were in English. It was a special time, then rap was not popular, in Russia they did not listen to it, and it was simply unrealistic to find Russian artists of this genre. It didn’t come to recording tracks, but the young men tried to write music and poetry.

Everything is simple: Vova was different from those around him by the habit of constantly reading verses of foreign (mostly black) performers under his breath or loudly. Looking ahead, it is worth saying that it was with Paddington's next idea that four years later the Negro turned into Nigativa. Triad is a rap group recognizable today thanks to the unique manner of performing its leader and founder, and many of today's fans do not know where his unusual pseudonym came from. However, at first nothing happened, the compositions were not recorded, the musicians tried to engage in breakdance and draw graffiti.
Where does the Triad begin?
Mowgli and Nigat get acquainted with the Krasnodar rapper Scato. The three of them are creating a new BDX project. Around the same time, the KTF-Key Town Family was formed, a union of young rappers, breakdancers and graffiti artists. The idea is simple: all members of an informal fraternity should support each other and provide assistance in creativity. However, an association of 42 young people is falling apart soon, without bringing tangible benefits to its members. And very soon the long-awaited concert, we recall that the group "Triad" was then called BDX. However, the performance ends in complete failure due to technical problems. After Mowgli decides to become a family man and tie up with music, Scato refuses to work in a team. The negativity remains alone and not in the best mood. The situation was saved by an accident; Vova’s neighbor in the apartment, Jazz, met the music lover Rico (Asvatur). After listening to rap music fashionable in New York, students decided once again to try to create something of their own. That is how the group "Triad" appeared in its first composition.
History of success
Music was required for the author’s texts, Cres (formerly Scato) agreed to help. It was at his home that the Triad group got acquainted with yet another beginning rap group, which included Lesha, aka Tito, and later Dino. Very soon, the composition of the team increased to 7 people, then the first performance was organized at a local club. The entire subsequent history of the group consists entirely of dropping out individual members and replacing them with new musicians. An interesting fact - even Nigativ thought to tie up with music and officially left the band for several months. So what is the Triad? The composition of the group in the full sense of the word comes down to two people: Nigativ and Dino. It is their philosophy and thoughts that prevail in the songs.
At different times, the duo of rappers was helped by friends and casual acquaintances, becoming ideological inspirers, composers or even temporary participants. Fame and success came to the team suddenly. Dino should have been taken into the army, the agenda came precisely at one of the moments that were not the most successful for the team. “Triad” records the last album in three days (as a keepsake and for oneself), preparing to say goodbye to creativity and spend Lesha in the service. However, Dino suddenly receives a respite, and thanks to the farewell songs, the group receives an invitation to RapMusic 2003.
Discography and creativity these days
The official debut album is considered "Antidote", work on which began in his native Krasnodar immediately after the conquest of the Moscow scene. The video for the song “Dead City” falls into the rotation of the Russian-language MTV channel, and it was at that moment that the group became truly famous and popular among rap music lovers. Next, work begins on new compositions and albums, cooperation with other rap artists, shooting videos. Already in 2005 Orion was released, then in 2006, Dew Point, in 2007, August, 2008, Do Not Sleep and Vitamin, 2009, The Sixth Sense. In addition, a group of their fans are pleased with live concerts, collections of the best hits and live recordings. In 2012, the new album - “My eyes are open”, in 2013 - “Simple”, “Plus-Minus”, “Source”, and in 2014 - “Numbers” and “Notes of a madman”, in 2015 - “Third breath”. The team members argue that the discography will not end there, and soon new products can be expected. Songs of the Triad group were used as soundtracks for many contemporary Russian films. What is curious, in addition to working in a team, Nigative finds time for personal solo work and periodically pleases fans with his compositions.
