The power window control unit is a very useful thing for a motorist. The principle of its action is as follows. When the driver forgets to close the windows in the car and at the same time puts the car on the alarm, the same closer (the second name of the window control unit) automatically raises the windows up. The principle of operation of this mechanism is to simulate the results of pressing the key fob on the elevator control button toward the close. Moreover, the whole process is controlled by the power circuit of the engine for the electromagnetic noise of a working electric motor. In other words, the power window control unit works like this: a signal from the alarm is applied to the resistor, after which the microcontroller first turns on the power windows via a relay, and then the transformer is driven. The motor signal is fed to the microcontroller port. And when the first glass is finally lifted, the transformer will first stop its excitation on the first window and switch to the second if it is open (if not, the operation of the window lifter control unit will stop). When the signal from the second lift indicated that the window is closed, the transformer switches further to the third glass and so on until everything closes.
All signals are supplied to the transformer with lightning speed, so this whole process, which was described above for several lines, is performed in seconds. No more than 4-5 seconds - and all windows are closed.
The closer itself consists of many electronic circuits, which carry all this signal for raising the windows. It would seem that the function is one, and there are several tens of wires. But, despite this, many motorists who installed a power window control unit with their own hands do not regard the independent installation of this part as flour. Below we give an example of installing this device in a car.
First, choose a place to install. It is better to mount the VAZ power window control unit near the standard one, next to the wiring. Using the tester, we find power wires in the mechanism connector, cut them off and connect new ones from our power window control unit. If a special channel has already been programmed in your alarm system for controlling door closers, you just have to stretch the reason from the alarm to the installation location of the unit.
