This car is simply impossible not to recognize! And the point is not even in its popularity, but simply in our memory, he was always. The first samples under the UAZ-450 index appeared back in 1957, then under the UAZ-452 index the production of the modified version began (it happened in 1965) and, finally, in 1990 the UAZ-3909 appeared, called the Farmer. With all the upgrades, changes were made to the design, somehow affecting the technical characteristics, but, despite this, the car was always perceived as a “loaf” (slang name). Naturally, due to its appearance.
Farmer is similar to his ancestors, although he has UAZ-3909 technical specifications that differ, albeit insignificantly, from the
450th UAZ. The most important thing is that the car has retained its wagon layout, frame and four-wheel drive. Consequently, the UAZ-3909's excellent off-road capabilities remained unchanged.
In Soviet times, such a car was not available to the general population, and then, with a fairly wide selection of imported cars, it turned out to be unnecessary. However, there remained a certain contingent of consumers for whom such a car is still of interest. First of all, these are rural residents and, in particular, the traditional "loaf" was later modernized under them, which later became known as the Farmer.

This is explained by the fact that the developers set themselves the task of creating a simple, reliable and unpretentious car for difficult road conditions with the possibility of repair in any situation. So it turned out, retaining all the signs of a car from the fifties of the last century. But on the other hand, despite the lack of comfort, he is able to move in almost any conditions, carrying passengers and cargo.
To this end, in the van of the familiar "loaf" allocated additional seats for five passengers and set up a table. In the cargo compartment, separated from the passenger compartment by a partition, there was room for four hundred and fifty kilograms of cargo. Of course, for the UAZ-3909, tuning of both the passenger compartment and the entire car is carried out for certain needs, but, in any case, it turns out a minibus that can transport seven people (including the driver), as mentioned, in the most difficult road conditions.
For boarding and alighting passengers are three ordinary doors on the side. One double door at the back serves to load luggage. For the convenience of passengers, a high-performance heater is installed, which ensures the optimum temperature in the cabin (even in extreme cold).
