Soothsayers are mysterious, mystical personalities whose lives are shrouded in fiction. They know how to look beyond the present and try to warn about the future. Their words are breaking the minds of philosophers, politicians and ordinary people. We present to your attention the most famous seers.
Kassandra
A seer is not necessarily a man. History remembers Kassandra, who by all means wanted to warn the Trojans about the death of the city. It was difficult to believe in it, so everyone decided that the girl simply survived from the mind. The seer tried to take a desperate step and kill Paris, because of which the war was due to begin, but could not do this. And her persuasion to leave Elena did not lead to anything. The girl’s father ordered her to be locked in a tower, and after the fall of the city, she fell into slavery, and then became the concubine of Tsar Agamemnon. The seer, the king and their children were brutally killed during one of the holidays.
Vanga
This is the most famous soothsayer of the last century. Bulgarian clairvoyant gathered people from all over the world. She was able to predict the victory of the Soviet Union in World War II, the "Red" regime in her homeland, the demise of Stalin and the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy. Of course, this is not a complete list. Some predictions are still a secret.
Wolf Messing
This soothsayer is an outstanding personality whose phenomenon is still being studied. Stalin himself communicated with the seer and listened to his advice. His main work was as an entertainer, but people remembered him as a mystic and a fortuneteller, who was able to predict the defeat of the Germans in the war, the death of the leader and his own demise. According to contemporaries, Wolf at the end of his life was very nervous and was afraid of everything.
Edgar Cayce
The list of soothsayers would not be complete without Edgar Cayce. This seer, born in America, was able to see the invention of laser by man, the period of the Great Depression and the fall of the communist system in the USSR. Edgar died in 1945 long before the events of the time of perestroika, and before the first lasers about 15 years remained.
Nostradamus
This is a seer and healer who lived in the sixteenth century in France. He wrote many different texts relating to different time periods, including the change of the tsarist Romanov dynasty, the revolution in France and even the time of Stalin, but the texts are too confused, so they are often “customized” to events that have already happened. Most predictions are still not decrypted. Nostradamus was persecuted, so he carefully hid the text of the writing.
Soothsayers are people who are endowed with a special gift to see that which is imperceptible to everyone else, but nothing human is alien to them. They tried to help others, but most of them had a difficult fate. Who knows, maybe trials are a payment for the greatest gift they possessed.
