Birds are part of our everyday life. It is not surprising that signs about birds are the most numerous among all popular observations. Feathered birds have long been predicting weather, harvest, and even the birth of a child and the death of loved ones. Popular wisdom in this case applies to literally all occasions in life. And there is no situation that our many feathered friends would not have been able to predict.
All the signs about birds are so diverse that if you collect them all and publish as a separate book, you get a pretty impressive multi-volume edition. But few people come up with the idea of how so true statements came about for one reason or another. In order to understand this, you will have to look deep into the centuries-old wisdom of the people and pull out the causes of their appearance.
For example, there is such a
sign: a bird has spoiled - to be money. This is not to say that this is bound to happen. But I have to agree that
this annoyance cannot but cause a smile. Most likely, such signs about birds are associated with the image of a messenger who came to us from long ago, when the feathered “postmen” were the only means of communication. In addition, we should not forget that in many legends and sacred texts the bird appears in the role of a link between man and the Divine.
But if a bird flew out of the window - omens advises to take a closer look at its breed. In this case, the nightingale will promise wealth, the dove will promise a quick wedding, and all the rest will not be good, perhaps even the quick death of one of the tenants. Such an opinion is connected with man's ideas about the material "analogue" of the immortal soul and the messengers of God. We have to agree that it is rather difficult to imagine how something intangible that is inside every human body leaves it sooner or later, just like the incorporeal messengers that come to a person. And who is most suitable for their role? Of course, a beautiful (or not so) winged creature that is closer to the sky than anyone living on earth.
As already mentioned, by and large, all signs about birds portend either a change in weather or the amount of the crop. In such cases, everything is quite simple, even science can quite often explain the mysterious behavior of the feathered population of our planet, which in these cases is associated with their "inner instinct" and the desire to move to places with a better climate. The people, however, simply had to associate such behavior with the coming climatic changes.
By the way, such signs about birds are the most truthful and work in almost 100% of cases. If this did not happen, then such a failure in no way indicates that the sign does not work. Rather, in this case we have to talk about failures that come from within the feathered prophet.
To summarize, it is worth recalling once again how closely the two worlds are connected: the human world and the natural world. Our whole problem is that, moving to cities, we move farther away from nature and involuntarily forget about the immortal heritage of our ancestors, in which signs about birds occupy only a small part.
