Personal life of Andrey Lobashev

Among young Russian fans of power metal it is hardly possible to find a person who does not know who Andrei Lobashev is, because this comrade was “featured” in the series of metal operas “Elven Manuscript”, written by the talented musician Yuri Melisov, the leader of the Epidemic group. He performed the parts of the warrior Torvald and was remembered for his peerless voice. For 16 years, the vocalist walked shoulder to shoulder with the musicians of Arida Vortex, but in 2017 he left, leaving for a “free flight”.

Biographical data

The future vocalist of "Arida" first "sang" in one of the maternity hospitals of Peter (then Leningrad) on September 7, 1974. Soon, however, dad - the famous Soviet scientist Vladimir Mikhailovich Lobashev, moved to Moscow permanently, and little Andryusha became a capital guy.

At the concert

After school, the young man followed in his father's footsteps, enrolling at the Moscow State University at the Faculty of Physics. He graduated very successfully, becoming a certified biophysicist, and, moreover, a candidate of biological sciences, defending a dissertation.

About personal

Andrei Lobashev is married to video director Olga Lobasheva (Bykovskaya), they first met during the filming of the video clip “Arida”.

Participation in projects

In 1999, Andrei entered the wind group Arida Vortex, in which he not only performed songs, but also wrote words to some of them. Everything went well: concerts, album recordings, tours, but after 16 years, the vocalist left Arida, and, according to the leader of the group, some creative conflicts became the reason.

In 2004, Yuri Melisov invited Lobashev to take part in the "Elven Manuscript", which he enthusiastically agreed. The vocalist performed the arias of Torvald, who in the story became the main character, Desmond, a faithful companion and helped save the world from the invasion of dark forces.

Times "Olvi"

After that, Andrei Lobashev took part in the continuation of the metal opera The Legend of All Times (2007), as well as The Treasure of Enia (2014). Perhaps we will see musicians on the same stage more than once, because the leader of the Epidemic group continues to delight fans with new elven-themed albums.

At the end of 2004, Andrei became the frontman of the Olvi group, but by the beginning of 2010 it no longer existed (by mutual agreement of the parties). Then the guys met again in 2013, but the next year Lobashev left them.
