In addition, many settlements disappeared in fires or were destroyed as a result of wars. So, in the case of the current president of the Russian Federation, everything turned out differently. Putin's parents came from families who lived in neighboring villages for centuries. In particular, the paternal great-grandfathers of the president lived in Pominovo in the Turginovsky district and were hereditary peasants. This locality exists today, however, most of the year there are only 2 dozen people living there, but in the summer there are always a lot of vacationers who come mainly from St. Petersburg. In the postwar years, Maria Ivanovna and Vladimir Spiridonovich worked at the factory, and in 1952 their son Volodya was born. Putin's parents were simple and hospitable people. For many years, Vladimir Vladimirovich lived with his mother and father in a communal apartment in Baskovy Lane in Leningrad. Moreover, there were no amenities, except for the phone, which was used by all the neighbors.
