Removable tinting with your own hands. Making removable tinting yourself.

Many of us thought about how removable tinting is done with our own hands. In this article we will try to understand this issue in detail.

Removable tinting of car windows is a trend that is full of pages of almost all automotive sites. And this is no coincidence. The prerequisites for the creation of removable tinting were the tightening of responsibility for tinting the front automobile windows. If earlier for this violation it was possible to get off with a fine of 100 rubles, then after the introduction of the relevant amendments, the amount of the fine increased to 500 rubles. The reaction to such measures was the appearance of removable tinting.

Most garage services offer motorists for quite little money to purchase a removable tint for the car. However, do not give in to high-profile advertising posters and promises. Such organizations often use the cheapest material for the manufacture of removable tinting in order to obtain greater profit. Therefore, many motorists choose the next solution to this problem - removable tinting with their own hands. Indeed, doing it yourself is not so difficult. We will examine in more detail how to make removable tinting.

Removable tinting with your own hands.

For this we need:

- A-PET sheet. Thickness is from 0.5 to 1 mm, but the main thing is that he go behind the seal;

- a pattern of glass;

- tint film;

- clerical knife, scissors with high pressure, forcing for smoothing the film.

We begin the manufacturing process by removing the pattern. It can be obtained from any tint, but if it did not work out, then it is easy to make it yourself. To do this, you can use a transparent film layer for tinting. Moisten it with soapy water and smooth it over the glass. After that, carefully cut along the edges of the glass and the seal. Instead of film, you can use tracing paper and double-sided tape. The pattern is ready.

Then transfer the resulting pattern to the Whatman paper and cut it out. Then the pattern can be modified on the car itself. The edges of the piece of Whatman paper should clearly coincide with the edges of the glass. After bringing the template to the ideal, transfer it to a plastic blank and cut it out. Cutting is best done with scissors for metal, so you will leave less burrs on it. This process is quite tedious, but is one of the most responsible in the entire manufacturing process.

After receiving the plastic part of the desired shape, proceed to pasting it with a tint film. This lesson requires experience, so you should buy films with a margin. It is advisable to glue it on the glass, taking care of the impeccable cleanliness of the workplace, since any faint dust under the tint film will ultimately lead to a deplorable result. For direct pasting, you will need a sharp knife, forcing and a bulletizer with soapy water (you can use Fairy instead of soap).

Perform rectangular patterns from the film according to the format of the pasted plastic, leaving a margin of two centimeters on each side. Then remove the protective layer from the plastic and wait 10 minutes until the static effect disappears. Next, we wet the plastic with soap and water and apply a dampened tint film to it. Do not save on water and try to apply it evenly over the entire plane of the plastic.

After the film is placed on the plastic, we begin the forcing of water. We wet the film from the outside and gradually begin to work without pressure. Then, with strong pressure, we finish the process. It remains only to cut the film along the contour of the plastic. Do this carefully so that the film does not hang from the edges of the part, otherwise it will start to bulge and move away. We carry out similar work with the second piece of plastic, since the front windows are the same, you can use the same pattern. And now, the removable tinting with your own hands is ready.

At the end of all work, you should wait several days before using removable tinting. Removable tinting with your own hands, although it is a budget solution to the issue, however, it requires material costs and labor, despite the fact that its service life is very short.
