Nowadays, computer developers do not have to get bored. Their activity is constantly directed, if not at the creation of fundamentally new technical devices, then at the tireless improvement of existing ones. Markets are full of novelties from all sectors.
There are completely useless inventions there, more decorative in nature, and really convenient, capable of eventually entering everyday life. Gadgets from the latter category, as a rule, quickly gain popularity and take root among users even without an active advertising campaign. In the near future, one of such universal devices could be a virtual laser keyboard.
It's no secret that our multi-functional, but small handheld computers and smartphones are actually not so convenient to use. Every new, ever more compact device launched on the market is justifiable among ordinary people. But the enthusiasm continues exactly until they begin to use these gadgets in everyday life. The problem is especially acute when entering information at work.
To get to the necessary buttons, quickly typing the desired text or performing any operation on a tiny keyboard, often - jewelry work. To make life easier for users of handheld computers and other compact devices, developers began to produce special folding keyboards. Now presented are several models, including wireless.
What is a laser keyboard?
All chances to become the next milestone in this direction are laser keyboards. The first mention of them in the press began to appear about a year ago. Currently, the first Russified models of such devices have begun to go on sale. The size of the keys of this keyboard is similar to the standard desktop. But the device itself, which projects it, will be slightly larger in size than a conventional lighter.
This means that you can take it with you anywhere, just by putting it in your pocket or handbag. Another indisputable advantage that the laser keyboard gives the owner is the ability to project it on almost any conventionally horizontal surface. That is, horizontal only so that you can put the device with a laser. Of course, no one forbids the flight of fancy, as well as the ability to project a virtual keyboard on the nearest wall.
There is no need to explain the benefits and convenience of this invention. A user who has such a keyboard on hand can always and everywhere turn his smartphone or communicator into a full-fledged replacement for laptops. It is easy to work with the Internet and mail, chat in chat rooms and type text documents: all this is now available with the help of one small accessory.
Keyboard βI.Tech Bluetooth Virtual Keyboardβ
One of the first Russified models in our markets was the I.Tech laser keyboard. On her example, you can consider the general features of such devices, as well as the functions that distinguish it from other models.
The rectangular case has dimensions of 9 cm in height and approximately 3.5 in width. For work, it is installed vertically, as a kind of "turret". On its front side there are two lasers: touch and projection. And on top you can see a small indicator that can display several colors and thereby show the keyboard mode.
The device also has a built-in battery, which is charged by the adapter. On the left is the corresponding connector and the power button. On the right there is a hidden button, whose purpose is to reset the settings if the keyboard suddenly started to βbugβ. A beautiful leather case is included in the kit for a small accessory, which will protect sensitive parts from scratches and damage.
It should be noted that for the correct operation of the keyboard it is better to select a matte surface. The laser will pass through the glass top and will be reflected from the glossy finish, making the projection inaccurate. But the color does not matter, although the developers recommend monophonic coatings, since it will be difficult for the owner to see the projection on too bright and color coatings. Direct sunlight will also adversely affect the brightness of the image, but ordinary artificial lighting will not hurt.
This keyboard works as a standalone Bluetooth device. All major system events are accompanied by beeps and a flashing light at the top. The keyboard is universal and supports connecting to a wide range of devices, from PDAs to modern laptops. The process of connecting it is surprisingly simple, although some points will require familiarization with the instructions on the attached disk.
