Modern tourists are distinguished by high requirements for comfort. This, of course, is not about conquerors of mountain peaks and impassable taiga. The average “green tourist” travels by car, in extreme cases, by bicycle and stops at equipped campsites or specially designated camp sites. For such a tourist, the weight of luggage is a secondary matter, and he will always prefer the comfort of an economy camp on weight and equipment dimensions. Meeting the growing demand, manufacturers of camping equipment offer a wide variety of camping equipment, literally for every taste and occasion. And one of the most sought-after items of such equipment is tourist gas stoves, and we’ll talk about them.
What are they needed for
Of course, to quickly and without too much trouble prepare or warm food. “Is it really impossible to cook it at the stake?” Asks an inexperienced tourist. You can, of course, but not always. Firstly, the most popular places visited by "green tourists" are nature reserves or protected areas in which campfire is prohibited. In them, tourist gas stoves will be the only possible way to cook food. Secondly, cooking at the stake requires time, experience, skill and dry firewood. And the dishes after the fire will have to be intensely torn. If you have arrived on vacation, then why all these extra problems, haven’t you escaped from the city from them? And thirdly, imagine that it was raining ... You can’t make a fire in a tent or under an awning, but you can safely cook on a miniature gas stove even inside the tent.
How to use
In operation, tourist gas stoves are extremely simple and cheap. For their work, long gas cartridges with collet fastening (220 g) are used, but it is also possible to connect large (refuelable) gas cylinders. The can is inserted into a special niche and rotated until it clicks, after which the tiles can be used in the same way as a home gas stove. Most of them have a built-in piezoelectric element for ignition, and the flame strength is adjusted using a conventional knob. On average, one can is enough for one and a half to two hours of continuous operation, while the stove produces (as, for example, a tourist gas stove Kovea KR-2007) as much as 1.8 kW of power. Weight usually does not exceed two kilograms, and the dimensions do not go beyond 35X35 cm.

The price of gas cans with collet fastening is low (especially when compared with cylinders for burners), and the cost of tourist stoves themselves varies depending on the manufacturer, and cheap samples (for example, the tourist gas stove "Hephaestus") are not inferior to expensive analogues.
Shortcomings
And what about without them. Tourist gas stoves with all their positive qualities have disadvantages. Actually, one drawback inherent in all gas- powered appliances . Liquefied gas does not like low temperatures and even at +5 burns frankly bad. Therefore, if you decide to relax in the winter forest, then a gas stove will be superfluous.
