A container is a container of a certain size, used for various purposes. This can be all kinds of cargo transportation by road, sea, rail, transshipment of goods using mechanization. Everyone also knows garbage containers, without which it is impossible to imagine cleanliness and order in the city.
Depending on its purpose, this multifunctional container has special dimensions and material of manufacture. For example, the sizes of containers used for transportation are standardized in most cases. For each specific case, a container of a certain size is used.
20 ft container
This model is one of the most popular types of containers designed for transporting cargo. Such containers are most in demand for use in maritime transport. For cargo that has small dimensions, but with a large mass, a container of 20 feet is also preferred , its dimensions are maximally suitable for this.
The design is characterized by the following parameters:

The container is made of 3 mm thick steel sheets. Its walls and roof are covered with an anti-corrosion compound, which increases the operating time of the container. The wooden floor of the container is about 30 cm thick, so that it can successfully withstand loads, as a rule, it is reinforced with steel beams. The door is located at the end of the structure, it usually opens the entire width of the wall to provide the most convenient and fast loading.
40 ft container
Such containers are very popular among transport companies for all types of transportation. A 40-foot container (measuring 12 meters in length) is designed to move both bulky and massive, as well as small loads. To avoid deformation of the structure, the walls and ceiling of the container are made of corrugated metal. In case of increased load on these elements, the cargo will remain intact.
In order for the container floor to withstand a heavy load, it is made of dense plywood, the width of which is 40 cm. To increase the strength, the material is subjected to various types of processing.
Based on a typical 40-foot container, various models have been developed that are used to transport goods with different characteristics. These include:

Three-ton container
This is another popular standardized type of container. It is intended for the transportation of various non-food and food products. This design is a standardized container, dimensions are:

Five ton container
This type of container is classified as having a medium tonnage capacity. It is popular for transporting all kinds of goods: industrial and food, cargo without packaging, equipment. Transportation of goods in such containers is not recommended, after the removal of which urgent disinfection of the container is necessary.

Refrigerated container
This type of container is indispensable for the transportation of various food products, pharmaceuticals, complex electronics, plants and other types of cargo that need a constant temperature of a certain value. Refrigerator units are installed in standard types of containers, usually 20 and 40 foot structures. They provide a constant temperature inside the container in the range from –25 to +25 degrees. This allows not only cooling the products, but also freezing them, which is very important when transporting, for example, meat products over long distances.
Maintains uniform and constant temperature in the container and thermal insulation. Since the functioning of the refrigeration unit requires electricity, which cannot be continuously generated in the required volumes during a long journey, the unit is turned off after reaching the desired temperature inside the container. After that, the temperature is maintained by the thick sandwich panels of which the refrigerator container is made. If the installation equipment detects a change in air temperature, it turns on again.
The universal dimensions of refrigerated containers make it possible to move a container from one transport to another without having to take out cargo, which is also very important to ensure the safety of perishable products.
Tank container
This type of container is designed for transporting liquid cargo. It can be both food products (mineral water, alcoholic beverages, concentrated juices, food additives), and chemicals (oil products, paints, varnishes, acids). In addition to liquid cargo, liquefied gases and bulk solids are transported in such containers.
The design of the tank container is a solid steel frame, inside of which there is a tank. It is equipped with a discharge system through which discharge is carried out. The fluid coalesces either by gravity or by pressure.
Container block
These containers are not intended for transportation of goods, but for the construction of structures in a short time. Such structures are often used during construction work.
Block containers can have sanitary, office and household purposes. In the manufacture of the design of windows and doors in it, as well as external and internal decoration, are made in accordance with the wishes of the customer. Very often used second-hand container containers are kept in excellent condition, but are no longer needed by the previous owner. This situation is possible due to the excellent performance characteristics of structures that are made from durable high-quality materials in accordance with all modern technologies.
Garbage containers
These designs are the key to cleanliness in yards and on city streets. The most common sizes of garbage containers are 0.75 and 0.80 m3. The product is made of steel sheets with a thickness of 2 mm. Containers must be resistant to temperature fluctuations, ultraviolet radiation.
For ease of use, garbage containers are equipped with covers or wheels with rubber tires, each of which is capable of independent rotation. If the lid fits snugly to the surface of the tank, then the penetration of odors into the surrounding space is absolutely excluded.
