The future tycoon was born in the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky, which is located in the Yaroslavl region. It happened on September 26, 1955. Sergei spent almost all his childhood in his hometown, where he graduated from high school.
But, having received a certificate, he went to study in Ufa. Here Sergey Veremeenko entered the Ufa Petroleum Institute, which he successfully graduated in 1978. The specialty column read the inscription: “Design and operation of oil pipelines, oil depots and gas storages”. However, this level of knowledge for the future businessman seemed a little. Therefore, he decided to go to graduate school, which for another three years made him a student of the UNI.
At the end of his studies, he worked for some time in the laboratory of the institute, but soon realized that this way you won’t earn much. The meeting of Veremeyenko with Sergey Pugachev, which happened in 1989, became fateful. Together they organized a common label manufacturing and marketing business.
In 1991, Pugachev registers the Northern Trade Bank. As for Sergei Veremeenko, he becomes his partner and opens a branch of this organization in Moscow. A year later, the branch is renamed "International Industrial Bank". And in 2003, Sergey Alekseevich Veremeenko became the managing director of this financial structure.
Alas, the friendship of the two entrepreneurs did not last long. After Sergey Veremeenko put forward his candidacy for the post of president of the Republic of Bashkortostan, their relationship with Pugachev began to gradually deteriorate. And despite the fact that Veremeenko lost the election, at the end of 2003, former comrades decided to split the business in half and rule them separately.

In 2004, Sergei Veremeenko became vice president of the Russian Academy of Engineering. He also takes control of the International Institute of Investment Projects and Construction Economics.

Sergey Veremeenko was married three times. The first wife Alla Gennadyevna is his business partner and co-owner of the stake in Mezhprombank. As for the second marriage with Marina Smetanova, he gave the businessman his son Alexei. By the way, Sergey has five children, and, according to him, he passionately loves all of them.
The third wife of the oligarch was the young model Sophia Skya. Rumor has it that Veremeyenko bribed the jury so that they would help his companion to win the Mrs. World 2006 contest. However, this has not been proven.
