The main thing for parents is not to ruin this craving for creativity in a child, which is manifested on a piece of paper. Let the picture look imperfect (and this happens in 99 cases out of 100), the lines are broken, the image resembles a caricature - you should not be upset, because at a young age, and in the elementary grades, the child still does not have enough subtle motor skills of fingers and hands. And accordingly, it is logical that children's drawing almost always turns out to be not entirely realistic. The main principle is not to interfere with the baby, but rather try to help him, show how to draw grandparents in simple lines with a pencil. And then - offer to paint the picture with bright colors. Here, as a rule, any preschooler will give odds to a professional. Indeed, children's pure vision of flowers is sometimes able to fascinate with its spontaneity and fantastic originality. What you need for drawing
If a child is 5-6 years old, you should not delve into the intricacies of pencil drawing (unless, of course, your child does not attend an art studio where the basics of artistic creation have already been received). For an evening spent creatively, you and your child will need pencils (it’s advisable to choose softer to make it easier to draw), an eraser, a sheet or a few thick drawing paper, you can take gouache paints and brushes to later suggest that the child color your joint work.
How to draw grandfather and grandmother in stages
- Do not complicate the picture and its composition (especially if the child is small). We will arrange grandparents in the middle of the sheet, sitting or standing. By the way, you can offer to draw only faces - it will be even easier.
- On a clean face, draw two ovals - future heads. We work together with the baby.
- We attach two more ovals from below. This is the torso.
- Add arms and legs.
- In the ovals of faces we draw eyes, nose, and mouth. We add characteristic features. For example, grandfather - a mustache, grandmother - a handkerchief.
- Then we draw more carefully together with the child the torso, arms, legs. Wipe excess lines with an eraser.
- When the sketch is ready, invite the baby to paint it with gouache.
