Each nation has its own religion, but involves a single concept. Therefore, it is impossible to confidently divide people according to religious principles. But those who profess Islam honor the sacred tradition, which is essentially a statement of the life of the prophet Muhammad.
His actions serve as a model of virtue and are taken as the basis for the path of a true Muslim. It seems that this is a good fairy tale, but this image is rich in hidden meaning, thanks to which the doctrine enters the soul.
Islam and its differences from Christianity
The Qur'an, the holy book of Muslims, says that it is necessary to honor the One God, the one who is above us all, the one who can bestow and punish, the one who at one time sent the truth to Jesus, Ishmael, Moses and Abraham. The founder of religion was Muhammad, a prophet who was placed above others. The basis of faith is worship of Allah and Muhammad. Muslims believe that Allah is higher than a simple person, his actions are the standard and living according to the laws of Allah is the highest grace, since after the death of an Orthodox Muslim, paradise gardens with unearthly bliss await. In Islam, the five main pillars of faith. This is her announcement, daily prayer, charity, fasting, pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca.
Muslim prayers can be performed both independently and under the guidance of a more religious person.
What is sunnah?
This is the very tradition of the life of the Prophet. For every Muslim community, the Sunna is the main teaching on life. After the Koran, this is the second source of law, incorporating all the actions of the Prophet, his words and thoughts. Until a certain time, the Sunna is an orally transmitted word, then recorded in the form of a hadith. There is a close relationship between her and the Qur'an, but there are a few minimal differences. Still, the Sunnah is a special kind of instruction, therefore it is easier for a religious person to follow it. The Qur'an evokes greater reverence and serves to realize its sinfulness. By the way, there is a kind of criterion for Islamic jurists - knowledge of the Sunnah, without which their opinion would not be authoritative.
Sunnah Power
After Muhammad, who founded Islam, died, the Sunnah allowed to deal with many questions about the life of the community and the Caliphate.
But I must say that the importance of this thing has never been diminished, and since the ninth century it has been revered almost on a par with the Quran. It turned out that the Sunnah is a common name, because sometimes they mean the Sunnah of Allah, which is the Koran, and sometimes the Prophet. Sometimes these are desirable deeds, and in a number of countries this word denotes a rite of circumcision - chitan.
For privacy
Even the most religious people cannot spend all their time in prayers, although in this respect Muslims are far ahead of the whole planet, because they pray five times a day. In addition to the obligatory, prayer for the Sunnah can be performed. For his failure to fulfill there will be no punishment, unlike obligatory prayers, but no one expects any reward. At least material. The value of such namaz is in cleansing from sins, correcting the errors of obligatory prayer. Muslims believe that Allah counts all prayers and can punish for insufficient amount.
During such communication with Allah, a person focuses on his thoughts, leaves the frailty of the world around him and can express his emotions. It is not for nothing that the Sunna is a collection of rules and worldly wisdom drawn from the actions of the Prophet. It allows you to understand the Prophet, his attitude to the Qur'an and imbued with his faith. Such prayer comes from the heart, not from the mind.
Sunnah people
There is even a large branch of the religion of Islam - Sunnism. The people of the Sunnah carefully follow the path of the Prophet, take his actions as a standard and guide to life. Among the representatives of this movement, there are differences in the rules of legal decisions, holidays and attitudes towards non-believers. Conventionally, there are more than one billion Sunnis, that is, 90% of all Orthodox Muslims. This holy tradition is honored by all movements as the most important source of faith after the Koran.
Tradition itself is called a hadith. Each saying of the Prophet, of which there is a huge number, is also called.
Quran and Sunnah
Theologians of different countries agree that the Sunna is the best tool for interpreting the holy book. In Arabic, the word "sunnah" is translated as "custom." That is, in this collection of hadiths, all information about the actions and words of Muhammad, his life and wives is collected. Muslim mythology is instructive in nature, it allows allegorically condemning human sins, evil emotions, anger and bad language. According to it, Allah is the highest power that has an adversary - Shaitan Iblis, who is the only one of all the angels who refused to obey the man created by Allah. Allah gave man his will, but the faithful Muslim wants to go to heaven, and therefore he follows the command of Allah and tries to be the same as Muhammad (the prophet).
There are many similarities between the Bible and the Qur'an. In fact, this is a free interpretation of one story when Adam and Eve turn into Adam and Hava. After reference to the land, Adam gains strength in the Muslim community, where relations are governed by Sharia. The followers of Islam must recognize that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad, who is his prophet. Apostasy was punished much harder than it is now, it was punished with death.
When the Prophet died, the caliphs took his place and a split occurred in the community. Close relatives also claimed power.
Features of Sunnism
The Sunni community participates in the selection of its head - the caliph, but does this not through personal affection, but on the basis of signs of belonging to this direction of Islam.
The term "Sunnism" itself took shape a long time ago, although there is no exact date. In fact, this is the doctrine of following the life path of the Prophet.
In modern Islam
For Muslims, the Sunna is a collection of norms of state, criminal, property and family law. No wonder they believe that in the holy books you can find answers to all questions that arise. And if there is no situation in the books, it means that there is no point in thinking about it.
Initially, the basis of everything was the Sunna of Muhammad, which included actions and statements. Hadith was a necessity, since the divine decrees of the Qur'an were not enough to solve a number of issues among new generations of Muslims. Therefore, I had to delve into the content of Muhammad's speeches before contemporaries. The image of the Prophet, the leader and founder of religion, is also interesting. At first poor and persecuted by everyone, he was not afraid to speak out against his fellow tribesmen, which aroused the respect and awe of Muslims. Everyone could trust such a person, therefore the doctrine of the Prophet became a symbol of faith in the law, the word of God, history and literature.
How to be treated according to the sunnah?
It is not surprising that if there is a guide to action on any life realities, Sunnah treatment is also possible. Many believers now prefer to abandon modern means and the help of doctors, explaining their refusal by the fact that Allah knows how and when a person should die, and therefore he will send a cure. Sunnah treatment is otherwise called the medicine of the Prophet. It is based on Quranic verses or prophetic hadiths. It is customary to attribute to treatment everything that the Prophet described in response to questions from his associates about getting rid of ailments. The medicine of the Prophet relates not only directly to human health, but also to the food, drink, shelter and even questions of marriage. This does not mean that Muslims do not recognize doctors, but if possible try to be treated with natural herbs and remedies, ignoring chemicals.
When compiling collections of hadiths, scientists created entire sections for medicine to break down statements by topic. The first to do this was Imam Malik in the collection Al-Muwata, and already he was followed by Imam al-Bukhari, Imam Muslim and others. About medicine of the Prophet compiled a separate book by Ali ar-Riz ibn Musa al-Kazim. It was a short treatise. But the book "Prophetic medicine" was written by al-Malik ibn Habib al-Andulusi, who was also called Alim of Andalusia. This is the first work with subsections. The Prophet said that Allah did not send the disease without treatment, and the only ailment to which there is no antidote is death. That is, the Hadith encourages treatment and calls for the search for new medicines. The Prophet and his venerable family followed the commandments of Allah and took medicine and drank herbal teas to prevent illness. And now you can find herbs, loose tea and spices in the Arab markets that evoke a tone, drive out a runny nose and relieve pain during menstruation. That is, all the medicines are nearby, you just want to find them.
