The shield was surrounded by golden ears of wheat. He was crowned by a silver walled crown. Ears connected the Alexander ribbon. The historical emblem of the city was not used in the Soviet period. In 1984, the city was renamed Andropov. A coat of arms was not created for a settlement with this name. In 1989, the city returned the name Rybinsk. He was part of the eponymous municipal district.
Modernity
In 2001, a new emblem was approved. It was assigned to the Rybinsk municipal district and almost completely repeated the historical version of the heraldic badge of 1778. In the period 2001-2002, in accordance with the order of the city administration, additions were made to the coat of arms of Rybinsk. Thus, a parade version of the image. It is also called complete. In this version, the “ancient royal crown” crowned the shield, an oak wreath appeared around it , which was tied with a red Alexander ribbon. The coat of arms was redrawn by artists Olesya Glushchenko and Nikolai Tarasenko. There is no information that this version of the heraldic sign was officially approved.
